@GrailUK Strongly rumored to be capacitive touchscreen, but no official word on it. Also, the Joy-Cons are supposed to have motion controls, but no official word on that either.
The Switch absolutely needs to have a touch screen, because a tablet without any means to interact it without an external peripherals would be nibelsnarfing stupid!
@Moshugan I am so, so damn happy to be able to make a game I want, but I cant tell university! But screw it! We can make the successor to Spyro we are wanting to make.

@MarcelRguez So those would be the touch screen and motion controls, online features, Amiibo functionality etc. as well as OS and other software features.
Liam Robertson: I have it on good authority that some core #NintendoSwitch features were omitted from that trailer. Possibly to avoid confusing the message.
The ride never ends.
This felt pretty obvious to me on first impressions. The video seemed clearly designed as a slick message to introduce the Unique Selling Point of Switch.
Amiibo support, online play and touch screen are absolute givens in my book. And there'll be some sort of gyro support going on in the central controllers, if not the Joy-cons themselves.
A three minute first glimpse was never going to be a 'reveal all'.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
@Moshugan Oh...oh crap. Did I just say Spyro? Well, not actually Spyro buuuuut.....maybe I've already got some of the code worked out and tested, and making a level....
And then we crowdfund! MUHAHAHAH!

@BiasedSonyFan They're already porting Zelda, Splatoon and Mario Kart. The Mario games also reuses a lot of assets. Seems like Ninty is going to squeeze as much pennies out of the Wii U games as they can. Provided there's enough original content, that's perfectly fine though.
@gcunit Do we have any confirmation that the games run ''better'' in docked mode?
I just wanna warn everyone, though. I'm no pessimist, but I can tell you right now that there is going to be at least one major drawback to this device, probably two. Whether it's battery life, price, storage, performance, uncomfortable controllers, or a generally clunky design oversight, this thing is bound to have some catch. For starters, there's no way this thing is powerful enough to compete with Xbox One/PS4 successors, let alone the consoles themselves.
Don't get me wrong, I'm saying this as an optomist. I'm stoked about this and can't wait to get my hands on it. The convenience of the portable features and the wealth of third party support has already sold me. I'm just being realistic, and I'm concerned that the slightest mention of poor performance from this thing is going to turn away a lot of people.
@Octane there should becnothing wrong with them just porting over all the Wii U games they want and making them slightly prettier/run slightly better either. Unless of course you've been dead set against all remasters that have flooded this generations consoles, which is fine to think but they're just ports/remasters, no one is being made to buy them if they don't want them.
I don't get the disdain towards remasters personally, just bought The Bioshock Collection myself and completed all 3 and it was fun.
Of course it's great that Nintendo are adding content but if The Last of Us remastered is OK as a 60 FPS 1080p version for nearly full price less than a year after its original release I don't think there's anything wrong with Nintendo just porting over say Xenoblade Chronicles X and calling it a day a making it a prettier game.
