@FragRed I hope you can.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

@Grumblevolcano If it was just Switch I'd agree but since they're coming to Xbox as well I don't think they're going to shadow drop them.

Also Go Nintendo had a typo. X|X-2 is launching on the 16th, not the 17th.

@IceClimbers FFXV Pocket Edition was a shadow drop and if the September Direct wasn't delayed the Direct would've been the first announcement source (Switch version was delayed a week because the Direct was delayed a week).

IceClimbers

@Grumblevolcano Fair enough.

Anyways I'm going to go ahead and guess that there won't be a big 1st party release in April either. Far more excusable than February though.

So let's see what we don't have release dates for from Directs and other big events:

  • Shin Megami Tensei V (January 2017 Switch Presentation)
  • Metroid Prime 4 (E3 2017)
  • Pokemon Gen 8 (E3 2017)
  • Bayonetta 3 (Game Awards 2017)
  • Daemon X Machina (E3 2018)
  • Fire Emblem Three Houses (E3 2018)
  • Killer Queen Black (E3 2018)
  • DOOM Eternal (E3 2018) - Bethesda conference
  • Luigi's Mansion 3 (September 2018 Direct)
  • Town (September 2018 Direct)
  • FF Crystal Chronicles HD (September 2018 Direct)
  • Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon (September 2018 Direct)
  • FFVII (September 2018 Direct)
  • FFIX (September 2018 Direct)
  • Animal Crossing (September 2018 Direct)
  • Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 (Game Awards 2018)
  • Smash Ultimate DLC (November Smash Direct, Game Awards 2018)
  • Crash Team Racing (Game Awards 2018)

Think that's it, still have a feeling Daemon X Machina may be February.

@Grumblevolcano I think Daemon x machina may launch in June. February would be too soon to market the game.

Grumblevolcano

@troy258 My thinking is Daemon X Machina is the only new game in the list that we know enough about that Nintendo could pull a Yoshi style announcement (here's a story trailer with a release date).

@Grumblevolcano If we get a game in february it's probably going to be ninjala. I don't think it's going to have a physical release but it is slated to launch in the spring. It seems more likely than deamon x machina in my opinion because of physical distribution and pre-ordering.

Yeah no chance Daemon X Machina drops next month. We've heard barely anything since e3. With a game that's already going to be pretty niche, just dropping it next month with next to no lead up would be suicide for it.

@redd214 There was the E3 reveal, E3 Treehouse Live, Gamescom gameplay segment, September Direct presence. Not a massive amount of time but nothing did last year except Smash.

There's no way Nintendo would do that, especially with a game that's gonna have a harder time than something like Yoshi to light up the charts.

I expect Daemon and Marvel to release over the summer. Been saying July/August for Daemon since its reveal, though that's only based on the fact that Rabbids, Octopath, and MonHun launched then.

Thinking one of the two will be June and the other in August with Animal Crossing in July.

Dragon Marked for Death preload is live... It's split into two versions, $15 each. One version has two of the playable characters, the other version has the other two.

That'll go over well.

EDIT: Nevermind, the physical version comes as one package.

I keep forgetting about Pokemon this year. That could go either way for me I think. There's so much potential.

I'm definitely getting Daemon X Machina, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Pokemon 2019, Bayonetta 3, Metroid Prime 4, Doom Eternal (defaulting to PC right now, not sure on Switch just yet) and whatever Retro Studios and Monolith Soft make. Those are my guaranteed games.

Other games on my list but I need more information on are Town (what exactly does it offer?), Devil May Cry 5 (specifically with the microtransactions), and Persona 5 R (whatever it is).

Also for the love of god where's my Xenoblade 1/X and Metroid Prime Trilogy on Switch you cowards

Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill

I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!

Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.

For me... on Switch:

  • Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
  • Fire Emblem: Three Houses
  • Pokemon 2019
  • Animal Crossing 2019
  • SMT V

...are my only guaranteed purchases.

Yoshi's Crafted World, Luigi's Mansion 3, and Metroid Prime 4 are also highly likely.

Etrian Odyssey Nexus on 3DS.

Sweet Sachiko's Hysteric Birthday Bash and Resident Evil 2 on PC are also certainties. Whether or not I get Doom Eternal is mostly dependent on whether it gets a Steam release or not, as I have no interest in playing that game without gyro aiming on my DS4. Although, if it performs really well on Switch, I could see myself getting it on there.

We'll see what happens when it comes to Catherine: Full Body.
