@Octane The list was posted Feb 4th. 16 Nindies that appeared yesterday were in consecutive order. The Garage was only announced by Tiny Build yesterday and there is nothing dated earlier on the internet. I dunno...I am usually sceptical and roll my eyes at stuff like this, but...I couldn't list 200 games and predict the nindie showcase like that.

@JaxonH Grip is a game from 2016. And we've known about Shadow of the Tomb Raider since late 2016.
No idea about The Division 2. I don't follow that game. But it could be a lucky guess. A sequel was inevitable, just stick a 2 behind it. Other games in the Tom Clancy franchise have done that too. From what I can find, media outlets have been talking about 'The Division 2' for a while.
Apart from the Nintendo titles that sound like they came straight out of a fake game generator, I find it hard to believe that Nintendo has a list of this laying around, accessible through their eShop. I can understand a few upcoming games, like what happened in the past, but a list this big? With games that are still years away? (I'm certain even Square Enix isn't aware of FFXVI yet!) I say it's fake.
@JaxonH Maybe they knew about some games (e.g. the Nindies) and the rest of the list is a combination of reasonable predictions and joke games? I mean that's been pretty common with previous leaks, use the joke games to get attention.
@Octane@Grumblevolcano
I'm not discounting the possibility that it's fake, I'm only acknowledging the evidence that suggests it's not.
Captain Toad is on the list (that was just revealed), an expanded port of Mario & Luigi which was just announced (again what is the likelihood of guessing this game out of all the possible games), a new Smash not a port (would have been much easier to just say Super Smash Bros for Switch, a safe bet everyone was predicting, would it not?), etc
So again, I acknowledge this is not definitive proof, I acknowledge it's possible that it's fake.
But.
I think it's just important not to neglect the sheer volume of evidence suggesting otherwise.
edit
V-Rally 4... there's another one. And afaIk that wasn't rumored or leaked or anything. Just announced 1 week ago. If we made a list of all the games that have been announced since this went public would probably have over 30 games
It would also be weird if they continued that story arc after decade of no Metroid Prime. A new story (kinda reboot style) makes more sense. Something fresh.
@Octane
Fair enough. But I noticed a lot of these titles seem like placeholder titles. Which would make sense for an early list of registered games coming.
So that's also, hypothetically, easily explained.
Or it could mean it's completely made up. Hard to say either way, but I wouldn't write it off just because of that.
The only one that makes me actually question the authenticity is Chicken Wiggle: Rehatched. Since that is being kickstarted as we speak. Although it is possible he has filed for an application to release on Switch already, or previously filed. Maybe somebody should ask him.
@JaxonH The list mentions Sonic the Hedgehog Movie! Of course there's going to be a game for it, but it was still mentioned a good 20 days before an announcement.
It's false though because of Earthbound Collection. There is no way I am going to allow myself to believe this is a thing only to be let down. O.<

@JaxonH Ye, I can believe the smaller indie games have more accurate titles. With AAA development, I'm sure the name of the game is among the last things to be decided on.

@JaxonH Super Smash Bros. for Switch would still sound like a port because the 3DS and Wii U games are the only Smash games that mention the platform they're on. There's only 3 ways Nintendo could've made it clear whether Smash is a port or a new game:
1. Straight up say after the trailer which it is
2. Show any gameplay that would prove it's a new game (don't have any ideas for this given a lot of stuff could just been seen as extra content, even moveset changes could be seen as extra custom moves)
3. If a new game, have a special name for the game like GC had Melee and Wii had Brawl
There's a lot in that list I would want. If even part of that list is true, it's an amazing lineup.
The only part I hope is not true is Metroid Prime 4: Sylux's Revenge. Because that's a terrible name and I don't think that's a good premise for the next game to focus on with Sylux as the protagonist.
"Your time has come, bounty hunter. I will finally exact my non-specific revenge and take over the galaxy!"
@Grumblevolcano
Right, that was my point. Super Smash Bros for Nintendo Switch would surely be a port. And that is exactly what most people were expecting. So if somebody were to guess they probably would have put that down as their guess. But the fact they didn't, the fact the actually have a new game listed... makes it a lot more believable.
Course I firmly believe the Smash Brothers that was announced was a new game. There's no way they would announce a port of a Smash Brothers game and not clearly market it as such. There's over half a dozen other reasons as well which we've been over but, ya.
Lack of gameplay actually indicates is being a new game. Because if it was not a new game they would have no reservations in showing what the game looks like because everyone already knows what the game looks like.
Lack of subtitle also indicates it being a new game. Because if it was not a new game they would have had a proper subtitle or title for it "Smash for Nintendo Switch" or "Smash Bros Deluxe" or whatever. And almost all their new games get announced the exact same way.
@JaxonH There's a very easy way that it could be faked, one that's been seen before. They had a genuine leak of information from GDC (Which is where all those titles are from), and combined it with all the stuff they wanted to make this particular leak.
@link3710
Do you have evidence all those titles are from GDC (genuinely asking) because I don't think all those titles are from GDC. A lot of the legitimate announced titles (like V Rally, Victor Vran, Shining Resonance, new Sonic Racing game, Sonic Mania Plus, etc) are not GDC games afaIk.
If they did have a genuine leak for GDC games though, why taint a legitimate leak with the fanciful? Seems a little counterintuitive to me.
Im all for people shooting this down if there's legitimate evidence it's fake. Best to stop it in its tracks before it goes any further if it's not real. But I just haven't seen any evidence yet. That's an interesting theory but I just don't think it holds water.
Perhaps someone else can take a stab though. Which I'm sure the entire Internet is doing right now. If there's a weakness to this... people will find it. You can bet on that
@JaxonH Beats me, and I suppose not all of them are. It still could be a legitimate leak with more added on, that's not unheard of. As for why someone would do that...? Why do people make fake leaks in general? I don't really know.
@subpopz I'd see Sylux being the main villain with a title like that. As for the connection, if they were to follow it on directly from the 100% Prime 3 ending I'd expect a Prime Trilogy remaster released around a year before launch. We've seen it so often on the 1st party front (Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo) that earlier games for story based franchises are remastered for the new system that doesn't have backwards compatibility so newcomers can properly enjoy the new game when it comes.
Data Mined codes for Nintendo Switch Games that are due in the next 2 years or so. Some are already announced, some are not announced (note that this data mine updates time to time):
That should ring the alarm bells right there. Edited post.jpg
