EA already said they were waiting a year. And from what we've heard, they're very happy with FIFA 18 sales. Practically sold more copies in France alone than FIFA on Wii U did worldwide it's entire lifespan.
Doesn't mean Star Wars is coming, but I'd be expecting more to ramp up starting rihjt now, cause that year is about up and they're happy. So they were a little reluctant but they're happy so they're obviously going to start bringing more games and I would expect more FIFA, definitely Madden, probably a late port of Burnout Paradise (think Switch version was already leaked? Just like all these other late Switch versions of games) and more as we move along.
Activision, them Idk. I figure it'll be Call of Duty, Crash Bandicoot and a few odds and ins over the years.
Capcom IS happy and IS supporting the system so, Idk what the complaint is there. Physical copy gripes, whatever. They're bringing games, that's what counts. Resident Evil Revelations outsold PS4 + X1 + PC combined. USFII is well past 500k and counting. They're on board.
Bethesda is on board. Bandai Namco is on board. Square Enix is on board. NIS is on board. Alot of developers are on board.
You guys paint such a bleak picture like it's the Wii U era all over again or something. It's not. We still haven't even hit the first year mark, and we know that this console more than any other in history had to prove itself before it earned it support. It has now proved itself and you can rest assured more games are coming and we're already seeing that. Look how many third-party games are in the pipeline right now versus what we knew about when Switch launched. The console is a success, most 3rd party games for the system are a success... we're fine.
Just don't expect miracles from companies who wouldn't even commit until they saw the end of year one. Games aren't going to suddenly pop out a month from now. They're only just now being agreed to be added as a platform as they enter development and the fruits of that will be seen toward the end of this year and early 2019. I mean we're already seeing some of that now, but this is nothing compared to what we're going to see by this time next year. Guarantee that. Cause all those games will finally start releasing around then.

@JaxonH My gripes are exclusively with not just the lack of physical releases here in the EU, but the fact that many notable ones are Nintendo published, if we get them at all...

@Spoony_Tech
Capcom announced it in their shareholder meeting or whatever that annual/quarterly meeting was.
@YummyHappyPills
Smaller market for those games in EU. They base their physical releases on sales. And if the sales don't justify a physical release then... dems the breaks. Have to accept you live in a region where not enough people buy those physical releases on Nintendo platforms to make it a viable option for these companies.
Not to say you can't feel frustrated about it because I definitely feel your pain. But it's not like they're shafting anyone. The fact those games are being published by Nintendo is exactly what people always say they want to see- "why can't Nintendo just publish it then, they did it for [insert game here]?". Well that's exactly what they're doing. They are publishing games in that region because the publishers often don't see the juice being worth the squeeze in EU Switch retail. Just be grateful Nintendo is the kind of company who is willing to step in and publish to ensure certain regions get retail on a number of 3rd party titles.
And, as I recall, last generation one of the biggest complaints was wanting region free. The only reason people wanted region free was so they could import without needing a separate console to play. So import. Our console is no longer region locked and there are an abundance of physical releases in NA. Stack three or four in the Amazon cart and make an import order twice a year. I do that very same exact thing for physical releases that I want from EU and Japan. It's how I got MHXX, I Am Setsuna, One Piece: Unlimited World Red, Bayonetta, etc.

People twisted that bit about EA and FIFA 18 on Switch. EA said they were "very satisfied" with the sales of the game in "France". They weren't talking about being very satisfied with worldwide sales. The MD for Nintendo France Philippe Lavoué also said...'that the title was just a “test case” for the publisher. We should expect “more announcements on the Switch,” he added. He expects EA to “double down” this year thanks to the World Cup, with the console’s portability being key to FIFA’s success on Switch.'
That is also open to interpretation. Announcements could be anything. DLC for FIFA 18. EA are going to "double down" on FIFA 18 because instead of the usual stand alone World Cup FIFA game, they're going to release a World Cup mode as DLC on FIFA 18.
@JaxonH My stance with Capcom and the EU goes beyond the Nintendo market I am afraid. I can rattle off Megaman games we didn't get for "reasons".
Mega Man 6
Mega Man Star Force 3
Mega Man Anniversary Collection
Mega Man X Collection
Megaman Battle Network 1 - Ubisoft
Megaman 5 - Nintendo
Megaman 4 - Nintendo
Megaman 3 - Nintendo
Mega Man 7 - Laguna
Mega Man 8 - Infogrames
Mega Man X - Nintendo
Mega Man X2 - Laguna
Megaman X3 - Laguna/Virgin
Megaman X4 - Virgin
Megaman Legends - Virgin
Tron Bonne - Eidos
Heck lets look at other franchises we didn't get
Darkstalkers
Darkstalkers 3
Ducktales 2
The list goes on
There are countless games Capcom made that we here didn't get at all, or didn't get until a digital re-release via something like VC. It's nuts.
So forgive me for looking at their track record and calling phooey. It's actively getting worse here. The Mega Man Collections haven't been released physically on ANYTHING, let alone Switch exclusion like RE Revelations was.
The more I watch the more I see us going back to the EU getting games months later if at all, and at the mercy of whatever publishers foot the bill.

FIFA getting World Cup as DLC rather than a standalone game, Monster Hunter getting expansions instead of Ultimate versions? What's next, Pokemon only having 1 version to choose from and having DLC instead of events and a 2nd set of games set in the same region?
Actually I'd honestly prefer that future for Pokemon, the extra content for Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon should've just been DLC for Sun/Moon.
The grip itself makes it incredibly comfortable to hold. While I liked the larger grips, I swapped out for the smaller ones because they were lower profile and it just felt better reaching for buttons. Speaking of which there is a shell of the ZL/ZR which contact the real buttons, and it uses motion transferred to press them in as you press on the rubber shell. It works really well- the R and L are a little tougher to press in if you press on the ends but if you press in the sweet spot it's easy enough. I don't really use those buttons that much anyways so, it's fine.
And it does fit in the dock. It's a tight squeeze and even more so with a tempered glass screen protector adding to the thickness but it does fit. I kind of have to push it down when I dock it, and I have to use my thumbs to press down on the dock as I lift it out with my fingers... but it's not that big of a deal and if that's the price that has to be paid for a handheld this comfortable then I'm 100% OK with it. As long as that sucker still goes in the dock... I'm good.
Best of all, the case. I'm buying the GPD Win 2, and wanted a case that could fit both my Nintendo Switch and GPD Win 2, and my potable USB-C PD battery, cable, miniature folding Tripod, USB-C PD wall charger and Bose earbuds. And it does exactly that. Both Switch and GPD Win 2 use USB-C Power Delivery so, they can both share the same charger and both share the portable battery. It's too perfect.
But for anyone else it could easily be the New 3DS XL. You could carry both of them in the same case.
I'd rate the whole thing an 89/100. Only points docked for tight fit in the dock and slightly harder to press L/R. Everything else is a dream come true. I have literally been looking for a case exactly like this since GPD Win 2 was announced. Nobody made one. And then along came this one in an unexpected package with a grip I never knew I needed.

@JaxonH wooooah, that's a very glowing review! I can't wait for it now. Considering I'm using it purely as handheld, this will be reallyyyyyyy nice for me since no worries at all about putting it into the dock, after all.
Thank you for the long and detailed review!
(For the R/L, it just means you have to press it more to the center then, right?)
@darkfenrir
Top center, ya. I don't really consider the whole side of the button. So you basically press on the top innermost part except just a little bit inward toward the center. You'll know right away when you put it on and you press, you'll feel that sweet spot where it presses in real nice and good and easy.

I’m surprised that the Burnout Paradise Remaster isn’t coming to Switch.
This is as low risk as it gets. However, I have noticed that a lot of the marketing surrounding this remaster is around 4K/60FPS for Pro/X1X.
EA must not think it’s worth putting on Switch. Would be interesting to see the FIFA18 numbers. Despite jumping by 500% in last weeks UK charts it was still behind the PS4 version.
However, I expect Fe to sell best on Switch.
I’ll get it on PS4, but it will be preowned. I ain’t giving EA any of my money.

@Fight_Teza_Fight Last I checked, Fe I don't think broke into the UK eShop charts, but then again for what is essentially a 3 hour experience, the price is steep.
