@rhyeee3216 Blagh, please no. I want DPPt to get the full remake treatment they deserve, not a cutback version.

1. Bayonetta 3
2. Metroid Prime 4
3. Hollow Knight: Silksong
4. Breath of the Wild 2
5. Doom Eternal

Also Yooka Laylee, SMT V, and LM3, but they don't crack my top 5. Ghostbusters, Balders, Panzer Dragoon (and Zwei), TMS#FE, and XC:DE are probably my top 5 remakes / ports as well. AA7 would be on my list as well if it was... y'know... actually confirmed beyond vague words.

I really hope we hear more about this soon. Although my guess is that we'll see another remastered trilogy next year (Apollo Justice, Dual Destinies, and Spirit of Justice). Then Ace Attorney 7 will release across all major modern platform in 2021.

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)

@Ralizah Yeah, Capcom seems to be doing the same for Mega Man. It went:

1-6
7-10
X-X8
11
Zero 1-4, ZX, ZX Advent

X9 is probably next followed by a Battle Network collection.

Ha, I remember you giving this answer a few years back. I bet you're on the edge of your seat.

I'll have to cheat once, due to not having one anticipated in the list:

1. Super Smash Bros Ultimate and its announcements of King K. Rool, Ridley and Banjo Kazooie as playable characters. It really gives me a smile seeing them in Smash Ultimate.

2. Donkey Kong Country 6. Looking how well received was King K. Rool by both new and older players in Smash, it certainly has increased the chances of Kremlings coming back in the next DKC game.

3. Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. I have liked everything I seem from this game. Also like the fact that they have not revealed many of soundtracks of the game, so that the players can look forward to more musical surprises by the excellent composers. Seriously, how do they make those beautiful music tracks?

4. Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. Unexpected announcement which may have been higher on the list if it wasn't for other games coming this year. There's so many good games coming this year O_O

5. Astral Chain. It has impressed me and I can't wait until I buy this game.

Other anticipated games are Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Metroid Prime 4. The former I have it and the later may not come until 2021, IF Retro Studios reuse some of the ideas that the previous studio (Bandai Namco?) had.

Undergoing games:
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity

KarateLuigi

1. Animal Crossing New Horizons
2. Luigi's Mansion 3
3. Pokémon Sword/Shield
4. Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix (mostly because I never got to play any DIVA games and am itching for a pure rhythm game rather than rhythm-based action/fighting/platforming/whatever. Listed with a grain of salt because if it's digital only I'll skip it.)

That's it for announced games. If we delve into hopes and dreams there's sequels for...

5. Paper Mario

and otherwise, in order...
WarioWare
Rhythm Paradise
Trauma Center (let me dream)
Lost In Blue (let me dream some more)
Overcooked (not in any rush as 2's still fresh but if Overcooked 3 were to happen I'd scream inside)
Mario & Luigi
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon
Story of Seasons
Mario Kart (still dreaming of a HD version of Maple Treeway and 7's Rainbow Road)

Edit: I knew I forgot something: A new Mii game whether it's Tomodachi Life, Miitopia or something completely new. I'd also take all three options.

judaspete

Bayonetta 3
Metroid Prime 4
SMT V
ARMS 2. Probably won't come out until the next system, but I do think it will happen.
Panzer Dragoon Orta port. I think this will come to Switch if the remakes of 1 and Zwei do well.

From what's been revealed to be honest the only thing I'm personally looking forward to is BOTW2

@Dezzy This is getting off topic, but with you mentioning mk9 on switch, I had the thought that the next game in the series could maybe come to in the coming years, but instead of calling it 9, I could see them saying tour is 9, and calling it Mario Kart 10, and really pulling out all the stops for it with new content, as I kinda feel like the franchise is heading in that direction.

Anyway, my games are
1. Botw2
2. Metroid Prime 4
3. Another zelda remaster
4. Monoliths new game (hopefully their own take on zelda)
5. New 3d mario

Lol, why are you on a Nintendo forum at all then?

Ralizah

@Dezzy I don't think one needs to be actively excited for a bunch of upcoming Switch games to want to participate in a Nintendo fan community. I've been active on PushSquare for a couple of years now despite not being a huge fan of most of Sony's exclusive games these days.

@Dezzy uhh because I like Nintendo games. Will still be getting other things like Pokemon, Luigis Mansion, Animal Crossing etc but those are for the kids and not stuff I'm probably going to play.

@redd214

How can you like Nintendo games if there's only 1 announced game that you're anticipating?

There are games from like 1/2 of all their main franchises announced. Is it just a coincidence then and all of your favourite franchises happen to be the ones that aren't announced?

Sorry if this sounds like an interrogation, lol

@Dezzy I mean to be fair, look at my list and it's mostly not the typical Nintendo fare. Maybe Metroid Prime 4, but Metroid is also not a popular franchise amongst Nintendo fans. The same goes for Monolith Soft's games.

And in terms of what I was seeking out in recent years, it's all more niche stuff that isn't necessarily by Nintendo like Daemon X Machina and Astral Chain. Coupled with an indifference to some of the big games coming out like Luigi's Mansion 3, there's just more stuff for me to keep an eye on beyond just Nintendo's games, but it's not like I won't still keep Nintendo at the top.

Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill

I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!

Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.

@EvilLucario

I don't really agree Metroid isn't popular. It's a B-tier Nintendo game, alongside Fire Emblem, Yoshi, Xenoblade. That's popular. It just doesn't have the extremely broad appeal of Mario, Zelda and Pokemon. Almost nothing does though.
