Topic: Using a Nintendo Switch with an HDMI Switch--Performance Issues?

So I have 4 HDMI devices that I need to plug into my TV, and because the TV only has 3 HDMI ports I bought an HDMI switcher. Is it safe to use a switcher with the Nintendo Switch? I wouldn't be surprised if it caused performance issues, since the Switch is already transferring information to the tv through the dock. Could something be lost if it's required to make a second transfer through the HDMI switch? Has anyone tried this?

The HDMI switch i bought was this---it got pretty great reviews: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0049SCB2Y/ref=oh_aui_detai...

There are no performance issues evident with a Switchbox - I've been using (a really cheap Chinese) one since day one.

You will not get any trouble.

If you have a decent one that can run passive, it's probably best. Meaning no amplification, no processing, no added lag. Plus, the switch sends a signal to the tv and it'll automatically turn on and on the right input.

I have the same issue: I've got my wii U and switch and only 1 pc (less input lag) compatible port. I added a switch that auto detects which one of the devices is turned on and it works like a charm.

Check the right input on your tv if you have a similar setup. All the more reason for a hdmi switch.
