Bodes well for the future of the series I think. I do think they know we like the earlier style of battle now and unique characters. Hopefully TTYD sales will reflect this to them even more.

Hopefully this survey doesn’t end up like the Super Paper Mario survey… but I have high hopes for the series, especially if the remake sells well.

Done! Told them I have no plans on purchasing the game because I'm more interested in a follow-up in the style of The Origami King.

Amazing environments. Best soundtrack in the series. Fun characters (yes, even if a lot of them didn't have little hats and moustaches like in the older games). An interesting battle system. Solid dungeon design. And unlike TTYD, it didn't pull its punches at the end.

I actually did like TTYD a lot, but TOK is the superior game in several respects. If they can make a JRPG that also preserves what I loved about TOK? Go for it.

@Ralizah I really should play TOK. I’ve had that game for almost 4 years and I haven’t played it yet. Maybe I should after beating BOTW. Also I think you might need a shield because TTYD fans are bonkers. Seriously the paper Mario fandom has basically become like the sonic fandom where people won’t stop arguing while also having a passionate fan base to the point of making a bunch of games that either look or play like paper Mario called the paperverse.

@Uncle_Franklin @ManagerMagolor It’s likely taken down because it wasn’t supposed to be accessed by everyone. I think they just wanted those who got the message to take the survey, not a bunch of Paper Mario fans. However the link got out and people started taking it rapidly, so they likely had to shut it down ASAP. Idk just an idea, but it’s possible I guess.

As someone whose also had many issues with where Paper Mario went, nothing could make me want to continue talking about wanting the old style of Paper Mario RPGs less than being called a "true fan". Yeah, not like those fake fans, they don't really like things!
