I think Tank! Tank! Tank! was a decent enough game. It's just that it offered nowhere near enough substantial content to merit a full priced release, and that's what the poor review scores reflect.
However, when re-vamped under a free-to-play model, where downloading it for a quick blast cost you nothing and you only had to pay for the extras you wanted, it looked like a far more attractive proposition. If they'd gone down that route from the start, I'd reckon that it'd have reviewed in the 6s and 7s.

Huh, I actually had no idea that happened. Tank Tank Tank was one of the first Wii U games I bought because it got a decent review in ONM (70% iirc) and for some reason I liked the look of it more than any of the other Wii U games I could have bought. I'm not sure how much I paid for it but I think it must have been relatively cheap (which might be why I chose to buy it over NSMBU etc) because I don't remember feeling disappointed with the amount of content.
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
Probably Tron: Evolution: Battle Grids on Wii (59 metacritic). Most of this game does kinda suck, but all I've ever wanted in a Tron video game is local multiplayer Light Cycle battles. This is the only one that has that, and Light Cycle mechanics actually work pretty well. Plus, Bruce Boxleitner voices Tron. Kinda phoning it in, but it's him.
@Dogorilla Yeah, this is the version of Tank Tank Tank I've played. Free-to-play version limits you to playing three times a day, but buying some DLC removes the limits, whether it's a multiplayer map to play on, or even the single player campaign. Still had fun with it.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
Just recently, Jump Force on Switch. Contrary to many opinions out there, I actually enjoyed this (more so than Smash Ultimate even, and I say this as a huge Smash Bros fan) and while the framerates and such are unavoidable, I've definitely played far worse games in that same department.
I do wish the Switch version wasn't behind in the DLC and patches, though.
