I’m a little sad to see we all began with the same denpa man, in the 3DS games everyone would get a randomized main hero. And yes the localization leaves a lot to be desired, it’s very rough.

But I’m still happy to get the game at all.

@Eel ...Were the 3DS games also like this with the localization? I never played this series until now. lol

@Joeynator3000 I remember the games being quirky but I don’t recall them being badly localized, but it’s been a while. I’ll revisit them tomorrow to confirm.

Played all the 3DS games and really enjoyed. The localization is indeed bad, but I am finding it humorous. Caught a few Denpa Men on the way to work. I like the Event dungeons.

@Joeynator3000 the dwarves speak in broken sentences, but the denpa men and other npcs speak normally.

Tip: there’s a jewel merchant hidden in the boss room of the first level, he sells you three jewels for the price of one, once.

You can use a handful of gold coins on the eShop to get these, to get a one quick free special denpa man from the tower.

I've just been ignoring the special denpa and sticking with my nub free denpa men 😝

Also, this game has to have the easiest fishing mini game I have ever seen. I have been feeding all my denpa fish.

Question for people who know more about this series: is there any reason to use denpa without antenna?

@FishyS if I remember correctly, they tend to be stronger physically

@FishyS My partner played the old game, and in addition to various healing denpas, speaks highly of the non-antennae’d ones and their damage output. I have a couple in my crew and they are real thugs. But i’m only just to the third dungeon.

@Diogmites hmm, ok. It feels like a team needs healing and resurrection and at least a couple magic attacks but perhaps I'll replace denpa 5 or 6 with no antennas. It just feels a bit like they are broken Pokemon when they have no skills though. 😆

@FishyS well since most of your battles will be spent attacking without magic, having strong attackers that will power through them quicker might be more beneficial, specially if you add elemental or status effects via equipment.

@FishyS Yeah it does feel like that! I have a couple elemental guys cuz i think spells are fun and a paralyze and poison denpa too.

@Ace-Lucario Chain is like a bind spell, it debuffs the enemies’ speed.
