@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I think poster can do their own responding. When someone else has to talk for them that is Trolling regardless. Forget how long someone been online that doesn't matter in the scheme of things. You can't verify who's who.

I wouldn't say it's my favorite console of all time but it's getting there. While the library is great, the being able to go from docked to handheld seamlessly is awesome my biggest problems are, how cheap the joycons feel and the lack of a true Virtual Console.

Now, how cheap the joycons feel to me I can rectify with a Pro Controller, I just need to break down and get another one but I was hoping someone would have something on sale for Black Friday. But the lack of a proper VC is unexcusable. I get that companies like Capcom, Konami, Sega etc would rather just put out compilation packs of games like the Mega Man Collection or the Cowabunga Collection rather then pay Nintendo to have the games on a service thus keeping all the profits themselves, but Nintendo themselves have a back catalog of NES, SNES, N64, Gameboy etc etc games that there's no excuse for not having a VC.

I get it they want to give something more for customers who sun to the online service much in the same vein as Sony or MS with there free games a month, but come on Nintendo give us a game or two a month instead of whenever.

But yeah accept for those two things I am impressed with The Switch and do find myself playing it alot more then the Wii or Wii U.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika @Kermit1Pineapple I've been here for like 11-12 years and never trolled, but some of these newbie members point fingers about how I'm a troll because I don't worship Nintendo. It's funny, since I love the big N and have been a fan since I was 3, but because I don't think everything they make or do is the best in the whole world I'm somehow labelled a troll...

@Tasuki Yeah I agree that the Switch is the best Nintendo console in generations, the concept is great and the library is REALLY good. I also find Switch to be FAR superior to Wii and Wii U with the exception of the lack of the Virtual Console service which I REALLY miss and hope Nintendo will at least add a buy option for NSO retro digital games in the future that could allow you to freely play purchased games without an online check being required so for people without a guaranteed connection or when NSO shuts-down on the current hardware in 10-20 years a person can still access their full digital library including the classics. Also the Nintendo Switch may be a nightmare in-terms of storage solutions, BUT!!! The fact that you can have multiple copies of your games across several Micro SD Cards means preservation is easier to pull-off to future-proof your Nintendo Switch than it is on Wii or Wii U...albeit a tad expensive one for sure.

@TowaHerschel7 I can see where you coming from but for me I am not interested in game preservation anymore for myself. Before my house burned down, I had so many games from NES, Genesis, SNES, N64, PSone, PS2, Dreamcast and many more. Alot of them I didn't play in years. While yes they brought me warm fuzzy feelings thinking of them, I just didn't have the time anymore to play them. I am interested with making new memories playing newer games.

I guess what I am trying to say is once a current Gen is done with I rarely go back to previous Gen. I just don't have time to relive the past. So by the time the Switch eShop goes offline, I will have moved on from it.

@SwitchForce
I want to explain my situation.
I have some 3rd party multi console games that available on Switch and PS4 version.
Let's say Portal Knights, Dragon Quest Builders 2, Youtubers Life 2.
Portal Knights on PS4 version was running on smooth 60 fps and better graphic rendering the environments, but the Switch version was running on 30 fps and downgraded graphic rendering.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 both Switch and PS4 version have nearly identical graphic rendering but the PS4 version was running on 60 fps while the Switch version was running on 30 fps.
Youtubers Life 2 also same case. The Switch version was running on unstable fps, between 20 - 50 fps but the PS4 was running on smooth 60 fps.
And I felt more satisfied with PS4 version than Switch version, so I keep continue the PS4 version but I neglected the Switch version after at some point I can't sugar coat the weakness from Switch anymore.
I'm just being realistic here in choosing the games I want to play.
After some my experience with 3rd party multi console games, I didn't really value portability from Switch since my Switch V1 battery life get down so I have to play in docked mode oftenly and when Switch being docked to TV, I didn't see better performance than the PS4 version games I have even from the same games.
I still like to play Switch in handheld mode too but I can't play in handheld mode for too long considering the battery from my V1 Switch is already get down so I have to play in docked mode and I played in docked mode oftenly during pandemic year 2020 and 2021, so it changed slowly my gaming habit back to playing on TV.
I still support my Switch but I give them with different games library. After the last tim,e I bought 3rd party multi console games on Switch and felt not satisfied, I only pick 1st party + 3rd party exclusives + remastered 1st / 3rd party games from other Nintendo games (NDS, 3DS, Wii, Wii U, etc) for my Switch games library and for my PS4 & PS5 games library, I really depend on 3rd party multi console games.

I have a lot of video game machines from both Nintendo and Sony since I like to play them on different machines.
I have GBA, NDS, 3DS, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, Switch for my Nintendo machines.
I have PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5 (still games only), PSP for my Sony machines.
Is that wrong if I have both Nintendo and Sony games ?

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I just saw that this Hori Split Pad does not work with the Switch Joycon Grip and I have to buy a separate Hori Pro pad grip that is not wireless.

Otherwise, it is a solid option for handheld play. I do not care one tiny bit about rumble, gyro or anything like that.
