@RR529 A lot of online impressions I've read do seem to favor Berseria. In fact, I believe it's THE favorite JRPG (or close to it) of a YouTuber I watch on occasion. In his case, that's due to how dark of a plot it has. It's certainly a title I'd be willing to try someday. I'd have to wait anyway; there's no PS4 in my living quarters, and I'm pretty sure my current laptop can't adequately run the PC version without issues.

Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)

well i disagree about that.

Thing is, not everyone on Earth has Tales o Berseria.

I only played Tales o Symphonia, Tales o Abyss, Tales of Graces, Tales of Xillia and little bit of Tales o Vesperia for my Nintendo Switch Lite.

Tales of Symphonia is the only actual real good Tales of game from an older console
for the Nintendo Gamecube for the Playstation 3 due to the Chronicles collection .

Like i said, why bother paying money especially 60 bucks for another remaster re-release of Symphonia when I still have it for my Playstation 3?

I've played all the ones on Nintendo systems, and I'd rate them Symphonia>Vesperia>Dawn of the New World>Abyss. Is that all of them? I know most people put Abyss a lot higher, but it just didn't click with me for some reason. I think I didn't like the characters as much. I also got Zestiria and Berseria in a Humble Bundle awhile ago, and I got into Zestiria but I haven't finished it yet because I don't play on PC much. From what I played I would probably put it at the bottom, not that it's bad but it's just a little "blah" I guess compared to the others. The best thing about it was that I was finishing up Stella Glow when I started it, and the same voice actor does the main character in both games, which was fun (this actually also happened with DotNW in which the same voice actor does the main character in both that and Fragile Dreams which was the game I played next after I beat Tales).

@XandertheWise Oh, I highly doubt I'll grab the game at launch unless I'm hurting for something to play...which is highly unlikely. I do agree about not double dipping if you can easily access a game on another console. It's rare that I buy a game more than once. If I do, it's usually one I REALLY like or don't have an easy means of playing anymore. (Dead system, sold off, etc.)

What's the price difference between physical and digital with the Symphonia remaster? I know there is one, but that's the big determining factor for me.

My Vesperia copy for Switch arrived today. I bought the (JAP) Remaster copy, instead of (USA) Definitive Edition. Don't know if there's any differences beyond the titles. Popped it into my system, and it came up as Definitive Edition. For those whom might have the same copy, does it also do that for you, or does it pop up on dashboard tile as 'Remaster'? Just want to be sure I got the copy I intended to buy, and wasn't swapped out for whatever reason. It was a sealed copy. But I've also had "sealed" copies with a piece of cardboard in place of cartridge.

(For the record, if you buy a new copy of a game at a store, I recommend that you make sure you open it and check the contents before leaving the store. After the first time, that's what I started doing.)

You know, idk why but lately I've been somewhat interested in playing Tales of Zestiria lol. I guess I just want to see for myself if it's that bad.

Add me on switch if you like Xenoblade :)

I played Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World on Nintendo Wii. I looking forward to the Tales of Symphonia Remastered, and Tales of Vesperia on Nintendo Switch. I looking forward to playing Tales of the Abyss on Nintendo 3DS.
