Hello everyone, i recently got a switch and was excited to play but when i put the switch into the dock the tv recognized the cable but there was a "no signal error" after a few tries i managed to get it working but when i did it again it didnt work. So i tried and tried but to no avail. The tv doesnt pick up the signal
Things i tried:
-Using a different HDMI cable
-Attaching the HDMI cable into another slot
-Factory resetting the Switch
I dont know if the problem is the
switch or my Samsung Smart TV
(BTW i live in Turkey so Nintendo Support is a not an option)
@Trymphus Starting with the basics, before you dock the Switch, make sure the battery has some charge and that the Switch is turned on. Then dock it, confirming a successful docking by seeing the battery charge indicator come up in the top left corner of the screen, and press the 'home' button on a connected controller. Cycle through all your HDMI inputs on the TV.
If you've done all that, using an HDMI cable that you know works, and it's still not working, then try it on another tv, if possible.
Then try using someone else's Switch and dock, if possible.
If you're still not getting any bananas after that then there's likely to be a fault with either your Switch or your dock. Return them to the retailer if you can. If even that's not an option then about the only other thing you can do before buying another Switch, is to just buy another standalone dock.
