Topic: Switch on TV 720 or 1080

My HD TV seems to display Zelda in 720 and not 1080. The Switch settings only show 720 or 420 and auto.

I know this is happening to others, I Googled it, but I have not found an answer.

Can anyone at NL help.

I think I've discovered the cause. Switch input will only display on a tv screen that recognises 1080p display. If your TV only has 1080i, the display will revert to 720.

Unless you know different.

are you using an up to date HDMI cable? some of the older ones can't display 1080 properly.

Unless you know different.

Pretty obvious! No use to convert progressive images into interlaced images. 1080i is a bogus standard on digital displays anyways, doesn't exist in all reality.
