My son's question. He has read that you can do a split screen at Fortnite! We have 2 accounts and also 2 controllers. On the internet it is said in videos that this is possible but it does not work. He would love to play Fortnite with his little brother! Can someone help him? With step by step explanation how to do this! Thanks in advance for your help! Rianne

@Rianne I think you answered your own question there

. On the internet it is said in videos that this is possible but it does not work.

Splitscreen only works for the PS and Xbox Versions. Switch, PC, Mobile doesn't support splitscreen.

@Tasuki, thank you for your answer! Now we are sure that it is not possible.

@Rianne Just to bolster above, EpicGames, the creators of Fortnite, have a support page on the issue, and they state Switch does not have split screen. If your kid asks why, my understanding is, the switch doesn't have the power needed to run split screen.

Here's the quote from epic games:

Split-screen functionality is only available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Mobile devices, Nintendo Switch and PC platforms are not supported.

Fortnite has decent support on Epic Games. I've them a year or two ago, and they responded to my email within 3 hours, which is respectable, in case you weren't aware. I think I logged into epicgames site with my nintendo account user & password, which made it easy (you don't have to create a new user & pw).

@Tasuki Did you even read the first four words of my comment?

My post begins with, "just to bolster above" - admitting I'm going to reinforce what was said above. The statement also communicates that your post seems accurate, and that I agree with it.

I also added two things. Did you read those? A reason why. And a link to an official support page with quote from EpicGames.

In a forum, if I ask a question, multiple people will often reply with the same answer, and I absolutely like it if more than one person verifies something. So, that's why I replied with a same-y answer.

You ALWAYS ask if I read the post above, or see that it was a revived thread, and the answer is ALWAYS yes. This is the third or fourth time you've done this. You come off as insulting. Do you have a hard time being constructive & a positive contributor in the forum, mister former-moderator? Everytime you pop up, you seem to have an attitude problem.

@WoomyNNYes Obviously you didn't read my post above because if you did you would see that I don't have a problem being a constructive and positive contribute to this forum. And quite honestly, I don't have an attitude for some reason you seem to always have an attitude towards me which I don't understand why. But hey it's all good but before you accuse someone having an attitude take a step back and look at yourself.
