Topic: Splatoon 3

Bloody hell, these past 2 SR rotations have been awful! What are thinking with these weapons? Pure doodoo.. This current one on Smokeyards is especially dreadful. Cut it out Nintendo! Fortunately the next rotation on Hydroplant looks pretty good.

@vio Reef-Lux (the wimpy tri stringer) is ok for taking out lessers if you do long presses rather than just tapping. (long press = holding button for split second.) If you know this already, disregard. Thought I'd mention it in case anyone else here didn't know. But yeah, the rapid blaster doesn't do much damage, but can take out stingers from a good distance.

EDIT: My least favorite Salmon Run weapon is the Carbon Roler. That thing is worthless - the only roller than can't mow down the medium lessers. I love most other rollers because you can mow down lessers with ease for the team.

Been trying to get back into x rank this season, and I've found myself failing every rank up match, but winning the majority of normal series. Does the game pair you with a different group of players for rank up matches? Or is it just the pressure of "If I fail this I won't make it to x rank".

@Wolfleaf Nautilus is a good weapon, but some people (me) suck at using it and hate it with a passion.

@BingleyBongley When the Splatfest was announced last month, I misread the question "who would be the best leader" and thought it was asking about who would be the best leader of Splatsville, the main setting in Splatoon 3. Since Splatsville was the result of Chaos winning the final Splatfest in Splatoon 2 (excluding some repeats and the Super Mario 35th anniversary), and since Frye is basically hyperactive, I just thought...you know...a chaotic leader for a chaotic city.

In all fairness, I would've gone with Shiver. She seems to be the most level-headed of the trio.

Another QR code banner has been made available to celebrate this weekend's Splatoon 3 tournament in Germany.

@Croctopus While it wasn't the Splatoween announcement, I still have the Switch news article (bookmarked) that gave us the Splatoween halloween masks gear for Splatoon 2, which was posted on october 16.

It would make most sense to announce Splatoween next week if it's happening. This week had Detective Pikachu Returns take the spotlight, next week there's not much going on, the week after is extremely packed (including SMB Wonder on the Nintendo 1st party side of things) and Splatfests need to be announced at least 1 week in advance because of Sneak Peek.

I hope we get Splatoween but if we do there is a good chance I will be unable to play...

Got x battles back! Having fun despite tower control being on every time I play.
Is it only me who hates tower control? It feels way harder to defend in solo q tower control then any other mode. It also feels like the mode that's most likely to landslide in one teams favour. Is it just the weapons I play?
Also never participated in a "Splatoween". Is it just a normal splatfest based around Halloween?

@BingleyBongley Yeah, it's just a splatfest for halloween, but with halloween masks!!!!!!! And it's cool to see glowing ghost theming slapped all around the town square & maps. That's how it was for Splatoon 2's Splatoween, anyway.

These were the masks in Splatoon 2. I liked the fish monster mask. XD The hat with the ribbon hanging over the face is what a zombie costume looks like in chinese or japanese folklore. (Back then we got the 4 masks from a switch news article)

I'm honestly surprised that Nintendo hasn't even announced a Halloween-themed Splatfest for Splatoon 3... I thought they would have done so by now.

@WoomyNNYes Oh wow, that's really cool! Sort of just assumed it was a normal splatfest with nothing special except for the choices being Halloween themed, so was confused about all the commotion.

I finally got a gold capsule! Yaaaay!

I looked through the rest of my rolls and yeah, there’s nothing left in there lol! So I guess I’m done rolling for the rest of the season lol.

@Snatcher So, gold capsule = gold banner? Ive still never gotten a gold capsule. Its insane.

I’m not sure if them having seeds is a good thing or a bad thing, because they say it’s luck based but it’s not, if you don’t get one in your seed you just don’t get one, and it’s kinda bogus.

I havent gotten a gold banner yet.. I really like this seasons so hopefully I will!

Might I ask what everyone’s splashtag title is? Mine is currently Vindictive Agent 4 (but I just made it that, before it was Salty Agent 4)

@Croctopus Splatoon 4 can’t come soon enough then! I am a Frye fan through and through by the way. Sadly, I haven’t gotten the Pearl Fan, Frye Fan, or Avaocado as a title yet, my 3 most wanted.
