@Anti-Matter I'm so confident that you'd like the Splatoon 3 single player game, if I saw the digital version on sale for $50 during Amazon Prime day, I was tempted to buy it myself so I can email you the redeem code. Although, I only saw the physical version on sale.

Regarding Splatfest teams, I picked Vanilla, but I was VERY tempted to pick strawberry for the tshirt color.

Only got around to participating in the Splatfest now due to being at work all day but man; I'm having an absolute belter of a streak currently. I decided to do a mini-Iron Man challenge involving the weapons I've bought (inspired by a personal favourite streamer of mine in Shenpai) in order to spice things up and it's worked out shockingly well for me so far, even netting me a 10x win on my first attempt with Sorella Brella of all things. Currently at Defender rank and will be retiring for today to go play some Pokemon but I'm more amped up than I've ever been for the 2nd Half!

For having won a 10x with one, it seems as though Brellas are my achilles heel most of the time XD

I picked Strawberry though don't like any of the flavours. Haven't played in the Splatfest yet because of MK8 Deluxe DLC wave 5, I think it was rather counter-intuitive to have both happening the same week.

@Grumblevolcano I feel like Sizzle Season’s just getting the short straw all around. Release was a week after TOTK when most people weren’t even close to completing it yet, and now the first splatfest of the season takes place on the same weekend as DLC is released for the best selling Switch game. Not to mention this season’s Big Run also taking place when TOTK hype was still pretty high.

Jeez, I never got a single 100x/333x battle as of this post... and I've acquired 3 festival shells already during this splatfest. Why do they have to be so ridiculously rare? Really wanna use those shells before they have to be returned.

@Professor_Plumber @KidSparta Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that wave 5 released so soon compared to last year's wave 2. It's just weird that so much was packed into July with releases clashing when August is currently completely empty.

Haven't been in the mood for Splatoon lately but jumped on for a bit of Tricolour today and had a pretty good time. It was a fun map for it. Went 27-10 on my way to Mint Chip Ruler.

Just started my week at the beach and remembered splatfest last night. Played some last night and this morning (it was rainy outside).

It was a great drive with that saturday night live podcast called Fly on the Wall, by dana carvey & david spade. So far, the episodes with Al Franken, Alec Baldwin, and Bill Hader were great, way more interesting and entertaining than i expected. Loved it.

333x is super rare, but that made it feel really special finally getting my first one after 675 hours. What an experience! Although, I imagine I would not feel nearly this thrilled about it if I had lost haha.

I got into a 100x battle and 10 seconds in someone disconnected. Hope I could get in another one soon...

Yeah they're still not happening. Just had another session recently and the 100x battles never appear. Even 10x battles refused to show up... it's pretty frustrating. I guess I'm gonna have to accept that I'll be giving my festival shells back. Thank you kindly, RNG.

(sees the Splatfest results in-game) Not a single point for Strawberry?! I guess my team got creamed big time. Thank goodness I still got to win a 100x battle, at least. Just having a 100x battle took way longer than I would have liked. Anyway, congrats to Vanilla. Good games, everyone.

@Fizza After me being a little upset about 100x battles never happening for me, I managed to bring home a 100x win as well! I'm honestly very happy about that even though my team got destroyed in the end.

Kinda not surprised to see Mint Chip Pro take the win, cos Mint Chip Open seemed to suck, so all our decent players must have been in Pro. I'm a casual and normally finish in the bottom 2 places of a match, but last night I was fairly consistently in the top 2 and getting quite a few gold medals... while on a 10 game losing streak. FML Splatoon is infuriating when that happens. I tried changing lobby a few times but just kept on losing. As the common factor, I think the conclusions draw themselves here...

Yay my team won again! Go team thick white sticky bodily fluids which you shoot all over the other teams face!

Well this was certainly a pleasant surprise to wake up to in the morning! I definitely thought someone like Mint was going to mount a comeback given how many 333x's I saw them winning in the news bulletin, but I'll gladly take another Splatfest win under my belt all the same

I’m a genius. If you put the Switch in flight mode when booting up the game and then turn flight mode off when you’re entering/loading the lobby you skip all of the boring news talk.
