@ElRoberico SMT IV was my introduction to the series. In my opinion, they're not that difficult once to come to terms with the idea that this series is a dark version of Pokemon. Certain attacks are super-effective against certain monster types. So it's important to build a roster of demons with wide array of attack types in order to handle most combat situations.
Also buffs and debuffs play a more critical role than in most casual rpgs.

I enjoyed Shin Megami Tensei IV on 3DS though I don't think I would purchase it again. I am honestly not the biggest fan of Shin Megami Tensei in the first place though.
This one makes a lot of sense. Atlus recently ported Persona 3, 4 and 5 to modern platforms, so plugging the gaps in the SMT series would make a lot of sense too.
That's the big question. Atlus have done some really barebones ports of their older games, but also some nicely enhanced ones. I'd hope that SMT IV is in for the latter treatment, but I wouldn't be terribly surprised if it's more Persona 3 than Catherine Full Body.
