Is Nate the only one allowed to hate?

I'm just tired of seeing all these rumors strung around the website whenever a game gets revealed. People always say "THIS IS IT, THIS MUST BE A SWITCH PRO LAUNCH TITLE" or "THIS MUST BE A SWITCH PRO EXCLUSIVE". It's just tiring to see whenever something gets announced that's open world. I complain here, since this is where those rumors keep festering frankly.

@Slowdive I 100% without a doubt agree.

@Slowdive So if you are correct sometimes, your mistakes should be ignored? That sounds like a weird world to live in.
Edit: Btw I said nothing about ignoring what is correct, I said owning on their mistakes. A simple "I was wrong" instead of a "Well it can still happen next year" would be better.

@VoidofLight your complaining in the wrong thread. It’s a rumour thread. Try complaining in the chit-chat thread or the Nintendo switch thread or that thread about ice cream 😉

@Slowdive I suppose according to you that we are to believe that Nate the hate, who disagrees only in respectful ways in the appropriate outlets, is not contributing to a negative atmosphere while hating on podcasts found in the internet?

@Slowdive I think any talk of moar powah now has to consider the possibility it might not be a Switch form factor. Maybe a new 'gimmick' that is bc with Switch games. I just can't see Nintendo releasing a commercial harping on about 4K, DLSS, A.I resolution etc. Buzz words only spec heads will drool over. Not the blue ocean Nintendo chase.

@Slowdive The disagreements I make are "complaining" of sorts, but they aren't just that. The only reason I am against threads like these is due to blatant spreading of mis-info, and treating unofficial sources as 100% confirmation. It's a vicious cycle that I just wish could stop, but it won't.

@VoidofLight Maybe if the thread title explicitly had a mental health warning saying everything contained within is pure conjecture?

@GrailUK well in general I didn’t believe I had mental health problems until I came here. Then again who is the sane person? The person spreading misinformation as facts or the person calling out circular arguments or moving goal posts? We’re all a bit insane to care this much on either side.

@sixrings That's what I mean. It's easy to call it mis-infomation because there are far too many folk sat on their fat derrieres regurgitating it as infomation everywhere. It's just gossip. And it carries no weight. So you can say what you want, and it doesn't mean anything. I don't care about stuff like this (especially specs - games sell consoles and if folk can't see Metroid Dread will sell that OLED, then their IQ is lower than I gave them credit for.) So hey, lighten up. Do you think we'll see this Pro eventually? Or is this it? Remember...it doesn't matter either way haha.

If half a million people cared about pro rumours (and I promise it's actually a fraction of that) it would account for 0.5% of the Switch userbase. It really doesn't matter! It's simply the fact that spec heads tend to own PC's which is the prominant way of sreading these types of rumours, so the minority kinda has an inverse unfair representation

There are another 80 million people not bought a Switch yet. I reckon OLED would be tempting to them.

@Slowdive I was going to suggest you start your own YouTube channel. You have as many sources as Nate the hate. But you handle criticism worse than he does. Well he rants. You just pout off. Good luck in your next endeavour.

@GrailUK I can’t speak for all “leakers” but Nate presents it as information not rumours. That is my big problem. At and I don’t know if he has any actual sources. I still find it crazy that the person who loves to hate thinks they should be free from hate.

The circle jerk has begun! Seems like the same conversation that happened the last few weeks. If either side hasn't agreed to disagree by now, will you ever? I guess these people were somewhat right. New console(ish) and metroid coming soon. It's in the title of the thread, what are we arguing about again?

We're moving on to speculate about the next Switch revision, @NintendoByNature .... That'll presumably be the Lite OLED model for next Spring!

Well I’m arguing that Nate and slowdive refuse to admit when they are wrong. Clearly never wrong. Like, subscribe and only leave a positive comment because anything negative is abuse.

@BruceCM agreed a oled lite makes sense for next spring. And then a pro Christmas 2022 or spring 2023. If not then 2024 for sure.
