A lot of people are getting scammed and robbed in New Horizons.

How do you report a player that scams/robs in New Horizons to Nintendo? Is there a link somewhere?

@Nounia Depends on what you mean by scamming and robbing people. If they are doing it by hacking or some sort of other method like that then there is something that they can do. If it's just by people being dishonest when it comes to trading probably not.

@Nounia If you don't add someone as a best friend, they can't mess with your island. But if you drop an item on a stranger's island, you only have their word they're going to give you whatever they promised in exchange.

Painful life lesson to learn - but at least you learn it in a game instead of getting robbed in real life.

@Nounia if they come to your island you have their NIN code that is what NIN support needs to lifetime bann someone. Your Switch code is unique to your system and no one else. Remember once you go online NIN knows whom goes where it's not like they don't ok. Just report and they will more less have the evidence to lifetime Bann users. As mention they have the EULA and TOS violate that and forget any access to NIN Online or Lan.

Scammers? Nintendo doesn't care about broken verbal contracts between players for in-game items.

Agreed. And EULA/TOS don’t cover “mean people”. You also can’t be banned from LAN. I mean, I guess you could... If someone came in your home and physically prevented you from connecting to a network port.

My advice:

Don't drop important items on the ground, build fences or walls around them. Tidy up and prepare your island for visitors and make sure no one can steal something before opening your gate for strangers.

Don't make strangers 'Best Friends'. The benefits of Best Friends is that they can use the axe and shovel, two things that are usually not neccesary at all and can lead to lots of destruction. There are no other reasons other than axe and shovel, even if scammers tell you a thousand other things. If you happen to be scammed, press ZL, open the Best Friends app, press R once, select the scammer and drop him off your Best Friends list.

Or let strangers on your island in the first place

This. Guys, I understand that it's not that easy to have many friends and trusted people to trade with, but at least search people from forums and groups that aren't recent and have done that in the past without problems. Otherwise, expect this kind of stuff and don't ask Nintendo help in cases like these in which no user agreement can be used to ban the person.
