Topic: Replacing Thumb stick covers on a pro controller.

I recently got back some items that a fire restoration team took from my house after a fire. The managed to clean some items amoung was my gaming controllers. They all looked fine however, I noticed that all the rubber on the thumbsticks were removed. Not sure if the cleaners they used ate the rubber off or what but regardless the thumbsticks are now bare.

Does anyone know how to replace the rubber? Can buy some to spray on or can I replace the sticks??

Depending on the controller they might sell ruler covers you can place over the stick. It replacing them might be easier.

So then there is no way to replace them?

You could try buying those silicone stick covers as a temporary covering. Without replacing the sticks completely you've really only got 2 options.

@Tasuki - I guess the third-party thumbstick caps (like @Kermit1 suggested) would work?

That's what I was afraid of. Looks like I will be fighting with my insurance company to get them replaced.
