Sure you know what, all monster catching games will be shut down. Nothing will happen. A neat, fun game. Let the blindly devoted fans attack as much as they want.
Funny how this game has come out of nowhere and seems to be making a real stir...
I've not played it yet, but understand its influences encompass BOTW & Ark - alongside Pokemon of course.
Competition for the Pokemon series is a good thing IMO, hopefully it encourages GameFreak to 'try harder' in terms of where they direct their franchise for future installments... or at the very least incentivise them to not release another buggy mess at launch
Nah palworld is inspired by pokemon.
It stole more from Ark than of pokemon.

Capture Dino’s, u need a saddle to ride them
Gather recourses
U can put ur Dino’s into Cryoballs to keep them in ur inventory
U have food, stamina, max weight u can carry, crafting, temperatures if it’s to hot u take dmg,
U can dienot like pokemon where u die when ur team dies, ur char can die
Breeding system is more like Ark cuz u need the right temperature and equipment to hatch eggs.
Pokemon
The pals have typings and attacks like in pokemon
Palworld has no Evolutions.
Palworld has ***** guns
And I played pokemon since
2003 (crystal version)
And played every main pokemon since then.
Only thing that palworld and pokemon rly have uncommon are like 3-4 pals that resemble some pokemons
Like grizzlo looks kinds like elevoktek
But they are completely diffrent games
@CharlieZee You could've brought up Palworld blatantly ripping off pokemon models while slightly modifying them, reusing some ressets from Botw and Ark especially.
But no the thing that is going to get the game taken down is... a fanmade mod that the vast majority of the playerbase isn't going to install or even know that exists.
I hope you realize how ridiculous this sounds.
Palworld should be fine for the most part, it has more in common with Ark than any other game but it's only Nintendo that'll go the lengths for the ip in the gaming industry at least.
To everyone, I've only played lets go eevee and have completed the story mode so I'm not aware of how "bad" these other pokemon games are.
Don't let the talk bother you... people just get overly opinionated about Pokemon. 😝 The most recent game Violet/Scarlet got a lot of complaints because the graphics weren't great, but it was honestly still a fun game.
As for Palworld getting shut down? Time will tell. These legal things happen a lot and they can go either way. We don't actually know how much Nintendo cares apart from not wanting mods with actual Pokemon art in them.
why is a game not on Switch and...potentially not being in a good position to be ported to Switch, being discussed on the Switch forum
To be fair, the actual NintendoLife staff released 6 articles about it in the last 5 days. It's probably gotten more attention on this site than it deserves.
Oh, I guess your point is this thread should have been in the 'General' category rather than 'Switch'. That is definitely true. I would not have noticed.
If that was the case Digimon would have been shut down years ago. I love it how when something is similar to something that someone has an attachment to its automatically going to be shut down.

I'd recommend creating a dedicated Palworld thread if you wish to discuss this game in the future. I feel the title of this one can come across as slightly baiting so it's best to create a general one if the conversation is to continue
