Topic: Nintendo Switch motherboard change - Can I access my ACNH island?

I got my Nintendo switch in February and after a week it just went dark and the motherboard needed to be changed. Is there a way to get back my progress on Animal Crossing New Horizons? Someone, please help, I know it's only a week's progress, but still! It would be so nice to continue from where I left off. I only used auto-save and it was stored on my switch. Since I had to redownload the game I don't have much hope, but maybe there's a way...

You'll want to talk to Nintendo support on this.

It's possible to get your island back under certain circumstances. Have a read here:

If it was never backed up though, you'll unfortunately have lost it forever.

@annasara Yeah, unless you have a backup saved, you might not be able to get your data back.

AFAIK ACNH doesn't permit cloud saves that's biggest reason they should allow this to prevent what just happened here.
