The 2024 year in review is up. I'm new to Switch, so I assume they've done this for a while now, but maybe it's new? Anyway, pretty cool. Like Spotify Wrapped.

I guess we can't post photos. I played 68 games. 82 hours. My most played was King of Season at 6 hours, followed by Katana Zero. I basically don't finish games ever.

It's been around a few years although they change it a little each year. One change I wish they would make is to give hours played for all the games, not just your top 3.
No, my "games played" number is bloated because I test the cartridge for every physical release I purchase. Usually only long enough to go into the options menu to adjust rumble, screen shake, and contrast. If I were to guess, the actual number of games I've played longer than five minutes is probably around thirty or so.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,529 games (as of November 20th, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 3 games (as of November 23rd, 2025)
Any predictions on how your 2025 Year in Review will look like? We only have a few weeks probably. i bet mine is gonna be bananza or one of the classics!

@OctolingKing13, I think first place is going to be Zelda TotK and second place is going to be a very close call between Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Animal Crossing New Horizons. Originally, Smash was certainly going to clinch second place, but then that V 3.0 update for ACNH was announced almost a month ago and my younger sister and I have put in almost 20 hours since then 😅.

My top 5 favorite games:
1: Pokémon Violet
2: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
3: Animal Crossing New Horizons
4: Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
5: The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Not really that much this year - on any system really. Suika Game, Ikenfell and Peglin probably the most played on Switch, with Sniper Elite 4 and Jedi Fallen Order order on other systems.
I do hope that the year-in-review site is improved this year (there's a lot of features from its first couple of years that were stripped down or removed), but for right now, I can at least predict my top games:
#1 is Tears of the Kingdom at 120 hours, I did my first playthrough this past Spring.
#2 is Super Mario Maker 2, at close to 100 hours. I'm constantly playing this, it's been #1 every year so far since its release except 2023; for this year though, I wrapped up a big project at the start of the year and then took a long well-earned break from the game (although I did create a small temporary set of uploads in September for SMM's 10th anniversary), so it won't be #1.
#3 is Pokémon Scarlet, at I think 70 hours. I played through the DLC for the first time in March/April, and ended up sinking more time into it than I did with the main game back in 2022!
I think the latest year-in-review sites stop at #3, but just in case they go back to making a top five, I believe that the next two games are Mario Kart World and Bananza, both at roughly 50+ hours. It's overall been one of my busiest years on Switch!
@Robot99 I think the infographic stopped at 3, but wasn't there a rotating bar at the bottom which showed every single game you had played for the year in order of most played?
The Switch game I played most this year was Mario and Luigi Brothership, with 50+ hours. Layton's Mystery Journey Deluxe Edition will probably be second with around 25 hours, and if I had to guess third it would be Monster Hunter Rise or Portal 1 with 10 hours or more.
Metroid Prime 3 will probably be number 3 on the general list time wise. Picking my favorites this year will be another story.

Hmm, I don't recall that level of detail - at most they had a month-by-month breakdown with your most-plated game each month. But it's possible that it was there and I didn't notice.

I'll probably have more games played but fewer hours.
Monster Hunter Wilds commanded a lot of my time over on Playstation this year.

2024 was my favourite Switch year and possibly Nintendo years in general.
Paper Mario TTYD remake, Mario and Luigi Brothership, Princess Peach Show Time, Mario Vs. Donkey Kong, and Super Mario RPG remake. I know the latter came at the end of 2023, but I got it in Jan 2024. So...😁
Sometimes, I only get like 1 or 2 games a year. That was just such a good year gamewise for me!
I'll probably have more games played but fewer hours.
I checked most of my games while transitioning from Switch 1 to Switch 2, so my number of games played will be in the 100s and almost all of them will be just a couple minutes playtime 😆

For me personally, 2024 was probably better than 2025 for first party games. Although I love Bananza, Zelda Echoes of Wisdom is one of my absolute favorite games on Switch. I also really really liked Peach: Showtime. Besides Bananza, none of the Nintendo games have called out to me too much this year and the ones I have played have been fun but not a personal favorite.
