So, about a week ago I found out that I got banned on my nintendo switch account. I feel like many people have had the same thing happen. I got the message, "This account has been suspended due to violation of the terms." Ive played many games on the switch and never used any external thing and have no idea how any of that works, and I'm mainly wondering if there is any way for me to get my account back, thank you for reading.

@BMO_Advanced "I'd say it would be best to contact Nintendo to let them know you've been unfairly banned"
I would refrain from making statements when you don't know the reason why they got banned. One should state they should contact Nintendo Support for the nature of the ban and what are their recourse to fix it. They may or may not have EULA violations and we will not know since that is Private and shouldn't be shared with anyone on here. So if the posters doesn't contact Nintendo for why and what then it's natural to assume they did EULA violation. So anyone reading this when this happens don't come asking those on here for assistance with such EULA violations that is between you and Nintendo to resolve.
Ah, it's another one of these "I got banned and I dindu nuffin'!" threads. I love these. It's usually revealed at some point or other that the thread starter did something questionable "But just that one time because I was curious, and I immediately deleted it, honest!"
I want to give you the benefit of the doubt but, in my experience, in 9 out of 10 instances of this nature, the player knows precisely what he did in order to get hit with the banhammer.
Of course, you could be the exception. Keep us posted.

Do you play Splatoon 2? I've heard that anyone who's in a match with one player who's hacking (whether the hacker is on your team or the opposing team) will be flagged for a possible ban.

@Mountain_Man Considering I remember Borderlands 2 saves being corrupted because I played online and was joined by someone who had hacked their game to change weapon stats? I'd believe it. If the game is using peer to peer for online multiplayer, it might be difficult to determine which of the players had hacked the game on the back end. Nobody else may even realize the person is cheating, but could still get punished for it.
Not banned outright. Merely just investigated for potentially hacking.
