Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

Direct this week. Super Monkey Ball Deluxe is headlining. My granddad told me and he works for Umbongo.

@Whiterwatermoose Nintendo need to get their stocks back up. Falling 9%? Not good. A nintendo direct(alomg with a Switch mini announcement) would seriously help.

@Whitewatermoose I hope that Nintendo doesn't consider Overwatch to be one of the heavy hitters of 2019 for switch... It would certainly sell but not as much as First party games like pokemon or mario. I'm just hoping for mario galaxy collection, odyssey 2/dlc, botw 2, pokemon "botw". Also demon x machina might be cool.

@AndreaF96 I agree with this statement. Not saying Overwatch isn't going to sell well, but baring in mind most people whom own Nintendo consoles do so for the first and second party games, it feels like Nintendo may be putting too much hope into Overwatch to get people buying the Switch

overwatch is still a heavy hitter in my opinion. It shouldn't be the only one but alongside pokemon and animal crossing I think it's going to do well.

@curryPowderKeg79 I don't think they will mention it but I think we will notice it at the games that will come out. If the witcher 3 or gta 5 rumour is true then we can assume that there are 64gb cards.

@nintendobynature It could be this week. I think that we just have to stay positive, If it isn't this week, it could be next week. We still have a lot of games that need to have release dates so there is one coming but we don't know when.

@troy258 I'm optimistic itll be soon. It seems inevitable at this point that its coming in a couple weeks or less

@nintendobynature Yes I think everyone is but I don't think the date of the direct influences when or how many games there will be releasing this year so there is no need to panic (yet)

I still feel like what we will get is more of a simple wake up one day to find a Mini Direct was randomly dropped. No build up or anything. With the 3DS kind of limping along, sales wise at least, I could see it being essentially entirely focused on the Switch.

@FragRed also possible but I think they are going to do a regular one with annimal crossing gameplay, release dates for deamon x machina and fire emblem, final fantasy 7 available now and some suprises.

@troy258 I think they may do a brief update on Fire Emblem but they’ll save the beef of the details for a full on game specific direct at a later date though a release date would make sense. They have that Fire Emblem conference in Japan in May (I think), that would be a good time to release such a Direct with the game released shortly after.

@FragRed I think it will release somewhere in may but they have to announce it sooner than the fire emblem expo. I could see them revealing some extra info or dlc for fire emblem we need a release date soon if it's going to release in may (hopefully a special edition).

As long as they give release dates and new trailers of games such as Daemon X Machina, Fire Emblem (hopefully both will be released before summer), Animal Crossing and Luigi´s Mansion 3 (probably without release dates), we´ll be more than happy. Plus any new third party announcement, of course.

But if they also announce a new first party game, at least with just a 2019 release, it´d be sooo cool. Something like Metroid Prime Trilogy HD, you know...
