The Mass Effect Trilogy remaster has been confirmed by like 3 or 4 different sources at this point. Seems highly likely it's true.

@Dezzy like I said, I would gladly welcome it. Day one purchase for me if it includes ALL dlc. But it's also been 'confirmed' for over 18 months.

@Octane Watch September come and go with nothing more than another Partnership Showcase and all these leakers start back peddling on what they said and how things obviously changed to be October.

@Octane It looks less like backtracking but rather the type becoming more obvious. The Nintendo Life article update pretty much says it's unlikely to be a general Direct but the August 28th thing is still happening which sounds very much like a 3rd party partner showcase. Meanwhile a general Direct in the 1st half of September is pretty much to be expected because it has happened every Switch year so far.

@Grumblevolcano E3 Direct also happened each year and that didn't happen this year. Nothing is certain.

@Grumblevolcano I don’t understand why have both a partner showcase and then a general direct? Would it not make more sense to just not have the partner showcase and use those trailers as part of the general direct? I just don’t buy this general direct happening. I can see Nintendo perhaps doing a mini direct or just nothing whatsoever.

I don't understand how Jeff Grubb can think that Nintendo would air a direct on a friday.

I'm gonna call it right now: 28th August isn't going to be general Direct but a presentation on the next Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC character. We'll get a general Direct in the first half of September.

Well here's something interesting. Someone claimed to have found evidence of a general direct occurring on the 28th and posted about it long before Jeff Grubb said anything (on the 15th.) All signs pointed to it being fake of course with the evidence being no longer accessible and it being posted by an explicitly throwaway account, but predicting the odd day of a Friday ahead of Grubb's statement makes it worth a look. I know he said that the event on the 28th is probably not a general direct, but it seemed like his main reason for believing so was simply because it's a Friday.

Yeah that's definitely edited, but I guess it's interesting that they had it as the 28th before Grubb said anything.

My biggest and only wish is that they give us a proper Direct. No mini, no partner show. The real thing, big, DIRECT.
