@Xenomorth

I think they probably are. I bet they'll have Grezzo reusing that same engine and assets from Links Awakening in order to do the Oracle games. That will be next year though!

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

Xenomorth

@Dezzy Yeah they probably do,but im interested if they are going to remake Minish Cap,Four Swords and maybe DS games? It isn't highly, especially with Switch only having one screen but still,it would be nice to have all 2D Zelda's on Switch.

I’m wanting to know more about the Monolith Soft new IP they’ve been working on alongside the Xenoblade remaster.

I really don't think Minish Cap needs it. That still looks great today, if you play it on a small screen so the resolution isn't an issue.

As for the DS games, I'd love that because I enjoyed both of those. But the fact that they were built around the touch screen probably makes it unlikely. The Switch doesn't have a stylus for long-term touch play, and it also can't transfer to docked mode, can it? So you'd have games that can only work in undocked mode.

@Dezzy Same with Skyward Sword but docked only so the most likely outcome for previous Zelda games on Switch seems to be:

  • Wind Waker HD ported
  • Twilight Princess HD ported
  • Grezzo Oracle of Ages/Seasons remake
  • The N64 and GBA games are NSO exclusive

@Dezzy While I think the DS titles are unlikely at best, I bet you could implement gyro aiming to mimic touch controls so that it'd work in both modes, even if portable would be the superior experience.

Xenomorth

@Dezzy Yeah, the touch screen will be an issue.
They can always include stylus, like with Dr Kawashima game, but i dont have resolution for dock mode and making them Switch Lite exclusive would be dumb. And yeah,Minish Cap still looks good, but it was relased only for GBA and the Switch would be better and more modern place for it.
This smame goes for Four Swords and Four Swords Adventures, and the co op mode will make sense on Switch, mostly couse local multiplayer with extra controllers or somthing.

@link3710 DS games arent that popular as Oracle series, nor Links Awakening, but given that lots of kids that grow up with those would love to revisit it it would make a lot of sense for Nintendo, probably in Second part of Switch lifespan.
As for controllers i agree, the joystick is the best option for those games.

I have a returning but more precise prediction. I predict that Nintendo will do a "twitter Direct" on Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning (like Tuesday 6pm pacific, 9pm eastern, Wednesday 1am UK time) which has release date trailers of Xenoblade and No More Heroes III hence why eshop pages appeared recently, also March NSO games which are mostly Eliminator Boat Duel level of obscurity.

@Xenomorth The prediction is based on what Nintendo did on January 8th/9th 2019 when everyone was expecting a Direct on the 10th. We got release dates for January NSO games, Yoshi's Crafted World, FFX/X-2 HD, FFXII and Dragon's Dogma.

@Grumblevolcano, No More Heroes III has had an eShop page for months now, at least on the US shop.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

I love how close attention you pay to all this. It's absolutely barmy, and drives me barmy just reading it, yet love it I do.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

I expect we will get No More Heroes 3 news and (probably) Bayonetta 3 news.

Finally! Although I'm (im)patiently waiting for the full Nintendo Direct, but nevertheless I'll welcome some nice indie news with pleasure. Hoping to see great titles.

So does that make people think the rumours were correct or that it’s just another wishful thinking hope. I don’t think there’ll be a general Direct next week.

@FragRed People seem to be taking it as rumour confirmation. I'm taking it as rumour deconfirmation because the Indie World rumour was off by a day.
