I'm using my brother's switch, his account got banned I believe so when I try to access the eshop it doesn't let me because "You have violated user agreement...."
I opened a new account so I can access the eshop and download free games.
It wants me to redeem a code.
I looked up and understood that codes come with a purchase of the switch? or maybe a game?
Anyway, first time using this platform and very confused.
Am I not able to download anymore games if my main account got banned and I have no code for a new account?
@LouBlu08 In that case, how would I be able to download free games? If putting a code gives me access to a game, how do I access the eShop to download free games?
@jordank12, anything with Nintendo account banning you will have to directly contact them to fix this problem. This is now a Nintendo support to deal with since there are account issues.
@jordank12 Although there are a few eshop quirks varying by region, I've never heard eShop giving a redeem code after hitting the button to download a demo. Although, I've only seen people here talk about eshop for US, Canada, UK, EU, Australia, Brazil, Mexico. So, I won't claim to know everything. Brazil and some countries have limited eshops, and a making purchases/downloads is a little different.
If it's not a region specific process, it may have to do with that console being banned altogether for security reasons, since purchases made on them, and they connect to the internet. If the later is the case, you might have to buy another console.
@WoomyNNYes Though the issue was resolved since, by getting my main account unbanned, the situation was this:
I didn't get a screen that required a redeem code when trying to download a free game. I got that screen as soon as I clicked the eShop.
Basically, I wasn't able to access anything until a redeem code was entered.
Israel btw.
