Topic: NES Classic Controller on Switch

Ok so today I tried to play the Mega Man Legacy Collection on my Switch, problem was the controls just threw me off. I tried the Joycons but not having a d-pad throws my gameplay off I tried my wired pro controller and a 3rd party pro controller and they just didn't feel right, d-pad was to stiff Fire and Jumps buttons too small basically it was enough to throw my game playing off. I thought maybe it was just me I am getting old but then I played Mega Man II on my NES mini and I had no problems. The control felt right and my game play was normal.

So my question is is there a way to connect the NES Classic Controller to the Switch. I know that there are no ports for the classic Controller to plus in cause it uses the Wii shaped ports but is there an adapter or cord or something that will connect to the USB ports and let me use the controller.

I know awhile ago Nintendo was giving out NES controllers that would work on the Switch but I wasn't able to get one and I am not going to pay the high prices that scalpers are asking for them now.

Thanks for any info.

@Tasuki keep an eye on the US nintendo store for the Switch NES controllers, just had a look and it said "temporarily out of stock" and I'm not sure if that's just because they can't ship physical products due to covid19 at the moment.

The UK store had them in stock very recently and were even palming them off for half price so I feel like they might not be as in demand as you might think.

As for your question I'm not sure, I have a mayflash usb to classic controller adapter but I don't think it works on switch. It might work with a magic NS but I don't have one of those to test.

Edit: just had a google search and found this, might be up your alley
