Hey, my switch sound has not worked for the past two years but only in handheld. When it first started happening, there was a crackling sound and the sound would come off and on and just sound terrible. Over some time it just stopped completely. It works fine when docked but just doesn’t produce sound when I’m handheld. What should I do to attempt to fix it? Should I find someone? Or are there home remedies I should try that wouldn’t risk my switch breaking.
Have you tried playing with headphones or earbuds?

The best thing is to contact Nintendo and set up repair. Doing it yourself or having someone else do it can make it so Nintendo won't repair the Switch without a hefty fee.

@quak If, for whatever reason, you don't want to have Nintendo fix it, you can look up console repair/game stores.
My brother and I have both used eStarland in northern VA for console repairs. I'm assuming you're not in that area, though. (Their repair info estarland is WAYYY out of date. You'd need to go in person, or get someone on the phone, to set up an appointment.)
