Well the most I can help here is by saying that I sent my 3ds to be repaired once and it came back with all the save data untouched and still working so I wouldn't be worried about it if I was you but you can always call the customer service I guess.

By the way how did your switch warp if you don't mind me asking?

Hello thank your for replying and I'm not sure really if it's not in the dock it's in a case I have it in my bag a lot but it should be safe in its case it's a big sturdy one the offical zelda one but I got home one night went to stick it in the dock and it wouldn't slide in so I thought something fell in the dock but the later realised that it was the switch the bend hasn't caused any problems other then it's hard to put in the dock and because of that I need to use a little force to get it in there witch in turn is scratching the back of it only lightly but still annoying and with the 3ds you could put the saves on the sd card but with the switch it all stays on the system so very worried about losing all my hours in zelda botw ,skyrim and xenoblade but don't know if they will charge me for a fix or not and haven't a clue how long I would be without the switch

Hopefully it found a zone that it went ahead rather then back. 😂

Considering your Switch is warped, I would highly recommend calling Nintendo Customer Service and getting it repaired or obtaining a replacement from them. The Switch stores saves on the console itself or on a SD Card if you have one inserted into your console, so if you send it off to Nintendo and they just send you back a replacement console, you'll lose all your save data unless if it is on a SD Card that you have separately.

I have an sd card but iv read that the saves are stored on the system not the card so if I get a new system il lose everything and I really don't want to start from scratch but at the same time I don't want my switch to die in a few months I'm so torn

I would talk to customer service. There's unfortunately nothing you can do about the save data. But if the problem gets worse you'd have to get it repaired/replaced anyway. Better to do it now rather than later.

I have spoken to customer service now and they advised me that my sava data might get lost to prevent that I should do a system transfer (don't own a second switch so not happening) and if it isn't covered by the warranty then I could pay anything up to £169
And at the risk of sounding really daft I can't see how to upload a picture of it haha
