Ok mate, you want attention, we get it. Now you've got some can you stop saying stupid things and trying to wind people up to satisfy your lookatme-itis?
@maibhassin Feel for you. You pretty much just picked the worst game possible to start your Switch experience with - it doesn't even appear to be reviewing very well. If I were you, no matter how much you love basketball, I'd get a refund and buy a different game instead, like Zelda, Mario Kart, Splatoon, Sonic, Pokken, Shovel Knight, SteamWorld Dig, or even NBA Playgrounds. Actually, since NBA2K is also pretty much the most expensive title on the eShop, you can return it and get at least a couple of better games. How long is the digital refund valid? Couple of weeks?
I'm a bit in two minds about this thread. On the one hand sure it kinda sucks how this scenario can play out on the Switch. Nintendo should have a way to at the very least let you move downloaded content to the microSD card. How poorly NBA2K in particular is setup really highlights that missing feature. And even so, it wouldn't have all been much of an issue for @maibhassin if the game save wasn't 5GB.
But at the same time we're only talking about an extra 3 hours of having to wait. Mostly because you didn't read the disclaimer which was clearly written on the page you had to navigate through to buy it. And then the end result is the ability to play a game that looks like this on a portable machine....

An opinion is only respectable if it can be defended. Respect people, not opinions
@Tsurii Oops. It looks like you are right. That seems like it contravenes any number of consumer protection laws, though. I'm not suggesting the OP takes this all the way to the European court in Strasbourg, but I'm pretty sure Nintendo would have to give in if there were a test case. The Apple App Store seems to have no problems with digital refunds.
@Lethal agreed! @Octane agreed!
And just another reason to not ever go digital when physical is an option. Especially when it comes to Nintendo's archaic online policies.
I think it's amusing that people are going on about how "super sensitive" people "defending" Nintendo are. In this thread. The thread where the OP is effectively complaining about a three hour download. A game that despite all the controversy is still an amazing looking game on a portable console. Oh how horrible it is not being able to play right this second a game that just last year most people would have thought was impossible on a portable.
Sure Nintendo isn't perfect and this game in particular is a bit of a mess. There probably should be a better way of managing the limitations that exist. But I think we've got our perspectives all muxed ip if we're having a go at people for not taking the OP seriously enough.
Exactly the response I expected. Just type 'look at me, look at me' next time. It's easier. Though if you could stay on topic and not derail threads to do it, that would be great.
@electrolite77 i did stay on topic (read much?!) mentioning physical is a better option over digital versions... especially when you can buy physical versions at a discounted price over full price digitals.
I like seeing my game collection on my shelf too.
**this how you stay on topic people... quit getting upset and letting your emotions post messages**
OP shoulda got a physical version. So many more advantages over digital.
Nintendo can refund digital games. I had some buggy issues with a Neo Geo game at launch and called NoA. They said they would refund my card and remove the game license from my history. A few days later i was fully refunded. And yet i still have the licence for that particular game.
NoA has pretty good customer service.
