Every now and then the nintendo switch makes me appear on full screen a warning regarding the micro sd, telling me that it has been removed from the console when it is actually still inserted and then I am forced to shut down the console.. This has happened to me more than once.. Is there a solution to this problem?
@LookAtZero To bolster VoidofLIght's point, I think it could be two things:
1. It could be a failing micro sd card.
or
2. The Switch card reader could be failing.
I know when my micro sd card failed in my phone, it was a gradual failure. It started getting slow & unresponsive more and more frequently, until finally it barely ever functioned. My PC could still show me everything that was on the card, but I could not copy large files off of it - it would freeze in the middle of the job.
To troubleshoot, you could try using a another micro sd card in the Switch. Download one game you're using often, and see if you still run into problems. (If you try another card, you'll likely need to format it for the Switch. Formatting process erases card contents. Make sure you're not going to lose anything.)
If you get an error code, you can plug the code into nintendo support's search bar. Usually it will tell you what it means. If it doesn't, then you'd have to ask nintendo.
Earlier today I found out my 3Ds SD card did the same thing, where it ended up failing on me.. so, it's probably a failure on your end with your switch.
