@Haru17: Thanks for the the full Prime list (you forgot Trilogy though). I didn't intend to make a list of all Prime games.
I was just showing that even if you don't come from the future, you can still have at least 4 (up to 7) different Prime games right now.
@SKTTR Ah, I guess I missed that part. I don't really count the Trilogy disc itself since it's just a re-release and I guess 'Wiimaster.' It's just fun to look in hindsight about when everyone thought Metroid was dead despite just so many Prime games. It's even funnier to think about the first Metroid game since 2010 being Federation Force being announced at a Nintendo E3 that reached such incredible heights as Star Fox: Zero.
I got to the Amorbis fight last night and admittedly had some trouble. You'd think the final boss of Return of Samus would have taught me what I was missing. XD It took a couple of tries, but now the giant worms are no more! I scanned the dark suit before picking it up; visions danced in my head of something similar to the Phazon suit....I wouldn't say I was disappointed as the Dark Suit doesn't look bad, it just wasn't...what I was expecting.
Anyway, I'm now done with the Agon Wastes, returned the energy to the temple, and last saved in the more interesting area of Torvus.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
@Tyranexx It's Luminoth tech. You can tell by the little red markings on the suit, and most Luminoth architecture. Same goes for every upgrade you get that doesn't come from a sub-Guardian. The Dark Suit is merely a prototype, however.
I don't know how far in the Bog you got before saving, but you won't be admiring the scenery for long, my friend...
@meleebrawler: Yeah, that's mostly what I chalked the crazy design up to - weird/unfamiliar tech. I've been spoiled on the Chozo technology for sure. XD
I don't quite recall where I saved....I've been in Dark Torvus a couple of times now, but I haven't found any keys yet.

Torvus I think was a test by Retro to see if Metroid Prime was good enough to not be ruined by an area designed to constantly frustrate first time players.
I think they succeeded, but I blame Prime 2's drop in quality mostly on that area.
@Tyranexx The dark suit is an acquired taste. I really respect how all of the Prime games really varied up the suit designs. And don't worry, because the final suit in Echoes is one of the most beautiful in the franchise.
You'll encounter a boss before long... that is definitely harder than Amorbis. Don't be afraid to die a few times, and of course be sure to save. If you can believe it Echoes in Trilogy was actually nerfed from the original release, and we're playing the easier version of it now.
Finally, I don't know what everyone else is talking about with Torvus. There are some incredible moments within it, and it's certainly higher quality than the turret and beetle bosses in the first game. I really like the rainy atmosphere and underwater sections.
@Haru17 I always found the light suit much better than the last one. To me the coolest in the series are the light, varia and gravity suit (which is pretty much the same as varia).
Ooh boy, you're about to encounter one of the most difficult bosses in the entire Trilogy. Be prepared to die. A lot.
Also, as far as Temple Keys go, you usually don't start finding them until you've spent a fair amount of time in the Dark World version of that area. But you will find the first one in Torvus before long.
@Haru17 It's not so much the area itself (although having to walk for long stretches in the underground section without the Gravity Boost isn't exactly compelling), it's the dangerous fauna within (read: Grenchlers, and sometimes Bloggs) and the love of placing them absolutely everywhere, and often in the most uncomfortable of locations.
Grenchlers are indeed one of the most annoying enemies in the game. And I thought the Baby Sheegoths were bad enough in Prime 1 when I first played it, Grenchlers are like Baby Sheegoths on steroids.
Didn't really have much problems with Bloggs though except the Alpha Blogg when I first fought it. The regular Bloggs are fairly easy to deal with but the Alpha Blogg is a tad faster.
@Bolt_Strike Individual Bloggs/Dark Bloggs are easy enough. It's when they tag-team you that they start to get extremely annoying, especially before getting the Gravity Boost.
I've since learned of an effective way to deal with Grenchlers, though: Entangler blasts from the Dark Beam fired on the ground near them will get them frozen, where you can maneuver behind them for quick damage or just keep abusing "splash damage" from a safe spot.
@Grumblevolcano It was pretty much a case of either be in ball form to see the Boost Guardian well but not be able to dodge effectively, or the opposite in normal form. With Spring Ball functionality brought on by Wii controls, dodging in ball form is easier. It also makes navigating the Spider Guardian battle much easier.
I was never able to play Metroid Prime: Hunters so I know little to nothing about Sylux, but is it possible that he's not an alien? Maybe this is a bit crazy but, I think there's the little possibility he may be Samus' brother, Solomon Aran, which was pressumed dead but as far as I know his existence is only mentioned in Blood of the Chozo. I mean, that material hasn't been relevant lately or anything (and it possibly isn't cannon considering the mistake with the names of Sammus parents) but, it's weird that a character with such little development is shown in the ending of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. There's also an interview where Tanabe said something about wanting to develop the relationship between Samus and Sylux. Also, even if it isn't cannon it doesn't mean that they can't apply that concept in the future and well, it's just an idea.
I don't know, it's highly unlikely, but there's always the small possibility.I can't wait to know more about Metroid Prime 4.
@meleebrawler Yeah so basically better controls making a game easier which is a good thing. A game being more difficult just because the controls aren't so natural is a bad thing so whenever Metroid Prime 4 comes out I'd expect one of the control systems to be split joy-cons acting in a similar way to Wii Remote + Nunchuk.
@MarcelRguez Well, in Blood of the Chozo he was only 3 or 4 years old when pressumed dead, so maybe he holds a grudge (unlikely) or was actually kidnapped and brainwashed to see them as enemies? That's the best I have lol. I wouldn't mind if they use him, specially since he's only mentioned once he would feel as a new character and an enemy that would have emotional impact on Samus (Ridley's kinda there but not in the same way).
@DarthNocturnal Probably not mate, hence why I mentioned that detail lol, but still, they can "save" a concept they like and apply it to the cannon. I didn't remember the change of age though....
@MarcelRguez For some reason I believe that Metroid Prime 4 will surprise us with being in development for a long time and showing an actual trailer in a Nintendo direct or something, which will point out to a late 2018 release date. That being said, I believe that just on a hunch and nothing else, I don't think he's hinting anything on this interview.
The logic thing to do is to wait for a 2019 release date I suppose.
