Topic: MarioKart Live Multiplayer Grayed Out

I bought a 2nd switch so my kids could play Mario Kart Live against each other. My first switch is a regular switch. My second is a switch lite. The switch lite always has multiplayer grayed out where it cannot be selected. I have tried multiple accounts. I have reinitialized. Made sure there are no parental limitations. Everything I read says you can play multiplayer with a Lite Switch. PLEASE HELP!

@Storeytime You need another car for player 2. Its one player per car with Mario Kart Live.

Mario Kart 8 does have split screen multiplayer, though.

@Storeytime If you have two cars, both Switch consoles need wifi on. (long press Home button to toggle wifi on/off)

If it's not that, Im not sure what the issue is.

Wifi works great. Multiplayer just doesn't work

Been on chat support for about a half hour so far no help.

Just weird how multiplayer is grayed out.

@Storeytime I hope someone else here has run into this, and can help.

If you get desperate, I've seen a couple games that don't allow multiplayer until after you've played the game, or gone through tutorial.

Completely undo, remove parental controls, if you havne't already.

Up over an hour with chat support no luck

Have the same issue here. Main Switch - multiplayer is there, can Host or Join.
Switch Lite - greyed out.
Have added all accounts to Lite. Uninstalled and re-installed. Removed all parental settings. Restarted. Nothing works. Expensive investment - 2x Karts and extra Switch Lite not to be able to play Multiplayer with 2 kids

Does each person have to do tutorial ...? I'm thinking that got missed on the Lite version?

I just figured it out. You have to complete 1 race in single player on each console before multiplayer is available.
