Playing online definitely helps, but I also found Jump Jump Jump easier with the block badge on - It gives you a bit of extra platform for jumping.
I also don't know how doable it is for a casual player, but you can use the bubble power up to basically skip the stage (If you look on youtube you can find videos demonstrating it)
I think Yoshi still has his flutter jump ability, which should make jumps a little easier? (the thing where he kicks his legs and hangs in the air a little longer. I assume you pull it off by holding down the jump button?)
Or are there any badges you could try? I think I've seen people say some of them make the game easier? I haven't played Mario Wonder myself, so I don't know what all badges are available or what to recommend, unfortunately.
Maybe looking up the levels you're struggling with on Youtube will help? Sometimes it helps to watch someone else play it to get a feel for how to pull something off?
@Plusle_and_Minun I think Yoshi and the flutter jump badge (or whatever it is called) actually make those levels harder, because it's specifically designed around how the natural jump works, and because they are timed, (the rising goo) you can't just take your time.
For the special world version of this level, I found the dash badge helped me keep ahead of the rising goo (since the block badge seems to have no effect in the Special Worlds)
@H31p If I get really stuck on a hard level, I'll look up the game's walkthough on youtube to see how they got through the level. A lot of times, that can reveal a more simple strategy to get through the level. That's usually enough to help get me through it.
For whatever it's worth, I wouldn't consider Mario Wonder a good game for "de-stressing," as the OP put it. There are a lot of difficult levels. If you want a more casual experience, maybe focus on beating only those levels necessary to beat the final boss, rather than trying to 100 percent the game. I haven't finished it yet, but it's inevitable that I'm going to get the dreaded "game over" screen at some point, unless I start buying lives. Just too many levels that claim lives in bunches.
Could someone please help.
My young daughter and I have completed SMBW in (Yoshi mode) now we are going back to complete the dozen or so levels we missed.
For some reason I can't get access to the what appears the Badge challenge in deep magna bog (Spring Feet 2).
The pathway won't open up for us to access.
have I missed, or not completed?
I have done all the other badge challenges.
It's got me stumped.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
