Topic: Mario Odyssey Switch Bundle

Hi,

I'm really interested in the Mario Odyssey Switch bundle. What's the best way to get notified when pre-orders go up? I'm in the UK.

It's strange : it's already on amazon France. What's also strange is the price : it's more expensive than the regular switch + a physical version of Odyssey.

@Tibob Nope, all Switch bundles are that way. You're better off buying the system and game separately.

The bundle costs £329.99 on the UK store which is the same as it would cost buying them individually. I could have sworn I seen a case included in the bundle during the Direct. Did I just imagine that?

Are the Joy-con just the neon colour or a different shade of red? The Nintendo website says 'Mario themed' but they look like the standard neon to me.Red and blue is more Mario themed than just red anyway.

@OorWullie Correct - the Direct showed a picture of the bundle with the case. Sold separately in UK store (not included in EU version?).

The joy-cons are red, not neon, different red tint.

But if you go to GAME's website, in the description, they say how it comes with the carry case too. I don't think it's included in the box, but I'm assuming GAME just send you it separately.

It also comes with that exclusive red Switch case. That's where the $20 difference comes from, at least here in the U.S.

@Octane That picture says game card, not download?? Or does it just mean a piece of card with download code on it?

@Bunkerneath That's the Australian bundle by the way (PAL too), the bundle for mainland Europe is the same, but with a download code instead of the game card:

I hadn't noticed it, but it seems that the PAL region has two separate editions, Australia gets the physical game card, Europe gets a download code. You can always import one, but that point you're better off buying the items separately.

I seriously hope that these red joy-cons are just timed exclusives or not exclusives at all. So much better than this normal red color.

Can order the deep red Joycons from Amazon Japan with Global shipping. Comes to $85 USD shipped, thanks to the conversion rate.

Out of all the variants I've seen, the deep red joy con are at the bottom of my list (other than the greys, obvs, they're just rofl ugly).

@JaxonH In that case, I'll preorder them at play-asia, though, I'm still fairly certain they'll come to the west as well.

PlayAsia will likely have markup. $89 + shipping so probably close to $100. Amazon Japan is almost always cheaper.
