Well, my last plan was try to get Yokai Watch 3 English eshop version but I changed my mind after Megaman Battle Network will get Legacy collection on Switch & PS4.

Might I recommend a comically tiny bowler hat? I'd assume it goes down much easier than any other one.

New announcements are either the first or last NoA tweet of the day so if the first NoA tweet follows the first Nintendo UK tweet and is about the 3DS and Wii U eshops shutdown then it's safe to say that wave 2 isn't being announced for around another 12 hours at the earliest.

If they were going to drop Wave 2 after the maintenance tonight, wouldn't they have already released a reveal trailer?

I saw Nintendo UK posted a XC3 overview trailer on Youtube so that's probably the first announcement of the day meaning no wave 2 for awhile.

If not this month, then how likely for Wave 2 to drop next month?

Situation like this is clearly not interesting to wait. 🙁
I would rather keep busy with my backlogs or other games than waiting for uncertain DLC stuffs.
It will be complete by the end of year 2023, a lot of time to spend to enjoy other games.

You do know next month is the 30th Anniversary of Mario Kart, right?

Late August would benefit Nintendo the most:

• 30th anniversary of Mario Kart
• August is empty on the 1st party front
• It's far enough away from the Mario Strikers update that any effect wave 2 would have on the Mario Strikers would've happened because of Splatoon 3 anyway
• Splatoon 3 won't affect the MK8 Deluxe playerbase
• Something NSO related releasing in August (to me the tweet below makes it sound like August isn't getting any N64 games)

@MarioLover92 Yea! Might be good for us to wait a bit and see if they add anything more! GC feels a bit of an ask for Nintendo knowing they usually roll with GC. But GBA fam give us.. give us nao pl0x!

@TowaHerschel7 BAH! Still no DLC! I'm starting to feel like, they are waiting till after XC3 launches. Prolly to try to funnel the attention on that.
