Maybe they've decided a 40th anniversary sounds better or why not 50th. Who celebrates 35 and Nintendo rarely even acknowledges their games birthdays. That said I believe there will be remaster (even if they miss that big 35 celebration) just because it's easy money. But I'm skeptical of the bundle people think they are getting.
C.Tsubasa/King Zell "retires" being an insider (probably due to online harassment?). He gave a last hint: the 3rd of September.
I announce my retirement from insider stuff for good, no more headache from this, enjoy this month and this lousy year for the Swith, hope the 3D Mario collection will make you all happy.
People can be extremely annoying, especially if they remain anonymous. I wonder if that "3" means not a date but that Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be weirdly left out as previously rumoured. Because of that, I thought that Galaxy 1 and 2 would be combined into a single remaster.
Alright, I'm trying to keep up;
Jeff Grub is still on the hook about ME Trilogy on Switch since February 2019, wrong about the 28th, now is backtracking still.
Nate was wrong about the 28th, but has flipped into convulsions and is saying it's "this week, or the week after that".
Zell 'quits' after the internet gets mad.
There was a speculative article that suggests Nintendo slips out false leaks.
But we should all give leakers the benefit of the doubt?
@Slowdive nate the hate admitted he talked to his sources sometimes as infrequently as once a month. I don't know how anyone thinks they can predict things accurately with that type of research. Perhaps either check your sources more often, get better sources, or stop trying to increase your YouTube viewers by predicting to begin with.
@TheFrenchiestFry There's almost no way A2MR influenced Samus Return's creation. We know MercurySteam was first approached about that remake 2 years prior A2MR launching. And with Samus Returns being basically a new game (new maps, combat, graphics etc), it would have had a development cycle more in line with a full game than a remaster/remake
For mainstream Mario remakes/remasters/rereleases, we've gotten: Super Mario All-Stars, Super Mario Bros Deluxe, Super Mario Advance 1-4, and Super Mario Bros 64 DS. Even if 64 DS did become it's own thing, it's well documented that it was greenlit originally as a 1:1 remake. Just because it altered during the course of development doesn't mean Nintendo won't make 3D Mario remakes.
...although, these rumors are totally fake, I'm really just arguing on the stance of ideals rather than practical reality.
@Slowdive Yep, many of the things were true. They predicted the new Paper Mario game and a few other things this year but people in here are way too demanding in spite of not giving a single thing themselves. All they do is complain about everyone else. It's how they like to live their lives.
@sixrings I hope that they remake Super Mario 64 and Sunshine at least and it wouldn't be a bad idea to combine Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS for the remake.
Lol we're getting new about delays to a rumoured game that hasn't even been announced yet. This is like a boring version of Inception.
Sir, you're literally reading a thread about this rumour, don't read it!
The first layer of Inception I can handle. It's the next layers where I start to struggle.
We're getting to the point where the leakers could claim that the 3D remasters have been canceled, and Nintendo would just never say anything about it, and we'd all be not knowing if it had ever existed in the first place.
Just completing “the story” makes no sense in a good Mario game. Mario doesn’t really have a story, and your missing out on easily over 60% of the content.
@Clammy I agree, Super Mario games are most fun to 100% complete and I don't play them any other way except for the pointless moons of Super Mario Odyssey but, still, Super Mario Sunshine would be harder than Super Mario Galaxy @Anti-Matter.
I'd argue that Odyssey is way harder, with its billion moons. And 64 because of some slippery physics. Sunshine is the only one I can consistently beat every time. Well, and the Galaxy games, but they're pretty easy.
For reaching story ending, I'd say Sunshine is hardest but 100% completion I'd definitely say Galaxy 2 (daredevil comet on the final bonus level) or 3D World (Champion's Road) is hardest.
