Topic: Luigi Mansion 3 completion?

Hi all,

So completed the game today and watched the credits roll for the final cutscene.

However upon the games returning to the menu screen, where I was hoping to return to play and collect some missing gems and boos, my final save is on the rooftop just before the final king Boo boss battle?

Does the game not recognise and save after you defeat him?

How can I now go back into the game to collect the things I didn’t get, and will this also mean that King Boo won’t be displayed in the glass capsules in E Gadds lab?

Anyone got the answers?

@Eyeball_37 I'm only 3 hours into Luigi's Mansion 3, but Nintendo did the same thing with Zelda Breath of the Wild. I don't think there's anything wrong with your save file. If you went back into the game after you beat the final boss, there's no reason for the enemies and fun stuff to exist in the game. So, I think Nintendo designed the game to revert to before the final boss too keep the game environment fun in case you want to 100% the game.

The game saves a story checkpoint before you enter the door with Mario that leads to the final King Boo. You'll be able to do whatever you want once you load.

The game is certainly aware you've beaten the final boss by the way, there's a few minor things that change afterwards. Nothing major of course, but if you've beaten the game you know why they did it this way.
