Topic: looking for (j)rpg like games with A romantic subplot

I am looking for switch games with A more major romantic subplot something like the witcher, I have played games like:
xenoblade 2
fire emblem three houses
witcher 3 (on pc)
valkyria chronicles 4
zelda breath of the wild

I personally enjoyed fire emblem and xenoblade 2 the most and I know there is A definitive edition for xenoblade 1 but I am A bit done with xenoblade after having fully completed 2 for A while.

Hopefully you can point to some new games (also some that have yet to be released)

The romance between Squall and Rinoa is a fair part of the story.

Catherine: Full Body

Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy VIII are the ones that come to mind.

Grandia 2, I believe also has a romantic subplot, it's been ages since I played it so I could be wrong.

Persona 5, but I feel like it isn't a major part of that game.

Fire Emblem: Awakening has a really clever use of romance between characters.

Both of those aren’t on the Switch.
