Don’t know if any other gamers are of a certain age here but I for one am desperate for Minter to start porting to the Switch.
Polybius on PS4 is one of the best games I’ve played all year and Tempest 4K is just round the corner. On top of that there are all of the Minotaur Project games he pulled from the App Stire due to idiots expecting them to be free.
These are all incredible arcade games and if Hamster are knocking out oldies for £6 quid a pop surely people would buy these gems too.
What do you all think- help me persuade the genius that is Jeff via Twitter maybe. 😘
I didn't realise Polybius got an actual release. I just know it from the urban legend. It looks superb. Tempest for Switch would be incredible. I don't know anything about the Minotaur Project games but they would definitely be welcome.
Im up for trying to persuade him on Twitter if you are. I'm not much of a Twitter person but recently have had replies from Voo Foo Studios and Zen Studios so I'm coming round to it
I was a big fan of his work back in iPhone 3gs/4 era. Even following him and his goats on Twitter.. the other day I was trying to redownload some of his games but they are not available anymore in Croatian apple store. Idk if that’s on him or what but if it is, that’s not a way to treat your fans. If he release game for Switch it should be a very cheap one for me to buy.
@CroRock he ended up losing money with the iOS games so he removed them all from the store. If you go to his website he has free downloads of about 5 of the android versions.
I hope that his new Tempest game makes it to the Switch.
I've loved Minter since the days of the C64, with Llamatron, Grid Runner etc. etc. all the way through to Jaguar Tempest 2000 and Xbox Space Giraffe etc. Then TxK on Vita, which is awesome.
He was working on a light synth shoot'em-up game (Unity) for the GameCube many years back, but it got pulled. Looking at Polybius you can see it's clearly influenced by Unity.

Also I would love to get Tempest 4k on the Switch. It would fit well with the other indie games. I played Tempest at the arcade as a little kid.
