Based on what I can see in the images, it's either an issue with the screen or GPU. If that's the case, then I'm sorry to say that there isn't much you can do. If you're lucky, the screen might just be partially disconnected and should be an easy fix, but I don't recommend someone that doesn't have knowledge with repairs. Contact Nintendo support and follow their instructions.

@Link-Hero Thank you for the response! Any idea what might have caused this? I'm very careful with my console, and this just happened while I was playing rather peacefully

Look like Chipset is bad but if warranty you should contact Nintendo if not then only choice is replacement Switch and migrating your saved data before all is gone.
