My joycon isn't charging, and there is a pulse every few seconds when you turn the console off. The problem is definitely the joycon and not the switch because I tried it on my brother's switch. How do I fix it?
@Laurelsipstea I don't know what you mean by "pulse". The rumble pusles? I don't understand what you're seeing/hearing/feeling. So far, that doesn't sound like a regular issue. If nobody else here tries to help, you probably should give Nintendo a call.(don't be afraid to call them, they are really nice) Be ready to describe your issue if you call Nintendo. They'll want to know what you see/hear/feel, or how the joy-con controls are affected. Granted it sounds like it's not working, but a Nintendo representative will need details in order to help you fix it or get it replaced.
If your joycon battery was drained down all the way, the joycon may need more time than normal to charge before it will work. If you already know that, I'm just trying to be thorough, for the sake of troubleshooting.
@Laurelsipstea If you attach your brothers joycons to your Switch, do you have the same problem with his joycons?
Two things:
Have you tried syncing that joycon before attaching it to your Switch?
If you do call Nintendo, they will definitely ask if you've updated your joycons. They probably would tell you to update them while you're on the phone, or ask you to call back after you've updated. I'm doubtful updating your joycon will solve it, but if you haven't updated them, you may as well do it to cross it off your troubleshooting list.
@Woomy_NNYes I don't have a problem with his joycons, and I can't update the joycon because the battery is too low. I'm guessing it's a hardware problem.
@Laurelsipstea A fully drained battery may need to charge for 30-60 minutes before it will start working again. If you can't get the joycon working after a 30-60 minute charge, yeah, it could be a hardware issue with that joycon.
