My left joy con has started drifting a lot lately, i cant calibrate them because they drift during calibration is it time to buy new joy cons or can i save this one?

@Drilk2901 Yeah, unfortunately drift means needing a new analog stick. Cleaning internally, seems to be only a temporarily help, if any. So, your option is to replace the analog stick or buy a new joycon. If you're buying a new controller, you could send your failing one to Nintendo, and they will fix it, for free I believe. But the outbreak has shut down the repair service, as far as I know. I know that answer's not fun, but it's an unfortunate reality for some joycons (after 500 hours on my pro contorller, i got drift issues there, bought a new one). Youtube has tutorials for replacing joycon analog sticks, if you want. Spawnwave made a decent video, I think, and NintendoLife may have made an article about sourcing the new part in the UK .

@Drilk2901 replace the joystick which is pretty easy. Lots of walkthroughs on YouTube or a new one, unfortunately. Joystick is only like 8 bucks on Amazon with tools included

Just contact NIN in your Region and submit for new Joy-Con if they do that. This is the best way to insure your Joy-Con is fixed not repaired.
