When it was Christmas of 2021 when I opened the final present and I saw Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I had some fun playing it but I lost it a few months later so can I still play animal crossing?
Like already 2 people said you will need buy game again, because the cartridge is the game it self, so you lost whole game sadly.

@shgduodhxcg Just to elaborate a bit, you haven't lost any save data, but you will need to buy the game physically or digitally again to play it.
Your first anything is important; a memory you don't want to forget. That's what makes nostalgia such a fascinating concept. That's why many people enjoy games that have aged well.
Unless it was Digital but from the text is you had the Physical and you will have to buy or get a used version to play again. I think there should be physical used version to get online or in NA GameStop or Amazon used games sellers as well. But unless you find it you need to buy new or used to play or buy Digital those are your choices right now.
Yes, there are only two ways to replace a lost digital game card:
1. DL (download) a fresh digital game card
2. Look for and locate the misplaced digital game card
Number two is the best option because you get the satisfaction of not only finding the misplaced digital game card, you also get to chuckle at yourself as you think, “LOL, why the HECK did I put this HERE???”
