Me and my wife have one Switch each. We share a cart version of Breath Of The Wild. I've read that I can make her Switch my primary – see link below – which will let her play my BOTW DLC.
However, if I make her Switch my primary, can I still play online games such as Splatoon 2/3 on my own, non-primary, Switch, and continue my progress in these games exactly as I did before changing primary console, with cloud saves and all? Are there any drawbacks at all, except the two listed below?
The only drawback is that you've got to do an online check when playing DLC on a Switch that isn't your primary console. If you're offline, you won't be able to access it.
