I guess they're not making a big deal about not reviewing it. Fair enough. Just worried that it's a bad port but seen on 'what are you playing this weekend?' that it's mentioned as decent and I'll take that as a good sign. If they reviewed it probably a 7/8

@WoomyNNYes my mom has been playing the game and is enjoying it so far.

Welp still sounds good. As a non HP fan (never got into it) who hasn’t seen a single movie it looks like a nice fantasy game on switch. The framerate is steady enough and it isn’t dropping into the teens or single digits so it’s still playable for me. While I am sensitive to frame dips it mostly applies to music games. As long as it isn’t a slideshow I’m in. I will likely get the series x version when it is under 20 though. I am honestly impressed they were able to stuff this game on switch.

Definitely prefer them not reviewing it than reviewing it and giving it a worse score for "reasons". Nobody cares about NL's opinion on this game when the agenda is clear as day.

But if they just reviewed the game, this thread wouldnt be needed - and "that discussion" wouldn't have been needed.

But meh. In a few years time, we'll look back and wonder how/why the far right became feeling more and more empowered... And it all started with nonsense like this.

I think I'm gonna avoid this site from now on. I was genuinely curious about playing this game on Switch. I loved the XBOX version but stopped playing it as i just tend to play switch more often.

@rallydefault from what I could find online, its "approximately 7GB"

Though it seems some sites also report that there's an 8GB day one patch in addition to the 7GB install... So it would be good to be on the safe side and free up about 15-16GB if you plan to buy it.

Anybody seen the switch version on sale for Black Friday?

My only machine capable of playing Hogwarts Legacy is my Switch. So my choice is to play this game on the Switch or not play the game at all. I do expect "open world" games to be sluggish (TOTK, Lego City Undercover), so I'm looking for bearable rather than wonderful performance. I'm interested in the experience of any of you who actually played it on the Switch. Looking at IGN, the game itself is rated very high and performance seems acceptable. This makes me want to put it on my Christmas list. What has your experience been?

@cwong15 I haven't seen anyone in the forum yet that's said they bought Hogwarts Legacy for the Switch. Maybe people are waiting to see if it get's a sale price, or saving it for December (possibly to gift to themselves).

I might get this but only at a very heavy discount seeing as half of the data isn't on the cartridge. Otherwise, I probably would have bought this on day one. Poor form from WB, as expected.

It also seems that this site is refusing to review the game because they're all aboard the smearing of Rowling, hence why it may appear that few are talking about this otherwise high-profile release.

@Sisilly_G No one would be "smearing" Rowling if she hadn't decided to publically go against one of the most vulnerable, discriminated minority on Earth. Before that she was a well-loved public figure. So if the Nintendo Life staff doesn't want to give attention to a product which will further enrich a celebrity promoting prejudice, there's no reason why they shouldn't do that. They are allowed to have moral opinions and act according to them.

Call me old-fashioned, but my moral position is opposed to promoting "prejudice" and bigotry against 50% of the world's population.
