Hey!! So I haven’t been on my switch in a good while and I know it can go dead dead battery wise but Iv been charging it for a while and nothing. It should have a battery with A lightning bolt with it and it only has the battery. When I use a type c phone charger it shows it with a lightning bold, should I get a new charger or what ? I need help pls ((

Ideally, use it's own charger .... ? Others may not be powerful enough or might not be the right voltage, etc?

Yep when I use the phone charger it has a bolt next to it and when I use the original it’s not showing a bolt and I’m gonna allow it to sit for an hour with the original charger and see what happened @BruceCM

Hmm, that is odd .... Must be something gone wrong with original, one way or another! It'd be better to take that up with Nintendo directly, if possible, though, than use other chargers that may cause problems

@Craftedminedude1 You have a switch, but not original Nintendo brand charger? Problems can happen if you don't use the official Nintendo charger, unfortunately. Nintendo's USB C charging protocol isn't the same as the standard USB C. Can non-nintendo chargers work, sure, but it's a mixed bag of reliablity.

If you ran the battery all the way down, it may take 30-60 minutes of charging before the Switch will let you turn it on.

If you do have the original Nintendo ac adapter, sometimes they ac adapter needs to be reset (left unplugged for 30 seconds)
