Hi all! I'm joining the forums from the UK and wanted say hi before going into my first post!

I am a Xbox fan but owned a Wii and a Wii U. As my "casual" consoles these were quiet good, especially the Wii U but that never gained any traction and eventually disappeared so I got rid of it on eBay. I was keeping up with the news on Nintendo's Project NX and did plan to buy one at some point but wasn't sure when until...

I left work on the 14th March and managed to find one Grey unit in stock so immediately went ahead and purchase;

  • Grey Nintendo Switch System
  • PDP Official Screen Protector
  • Hori case
  • 128GB Samsung EVO + Micro SD Card
  • Pro Controller
  • Zelda BOTW

I came home, set it all up and couldn't help but get swayed by the sheer amount of articles of negative experiences and flaws in the system leading me to believe I paid over the odds for what is essentially another "crap" system made for kids.

Then I ran into some stress test videos on YouTube and was blown away by how well built the system really is. I was actually happy I saw these videos as I now know the Switch isn't a piece of cheap plastic but actually an extremely sturdy device built to last the most testing of ownerships!

Roll on MK8 and Splatoon 2!

People with defective units are always much louder than the people who are happy with their systems, which is the majority.

This is probably the least toy-like console Nintendo have ever made.
